"No-" Wally's voice is rough with lingering dredges of sleep. It's hard to imagine less than an hour ago, he had been counting sheep in his borrowed bed. He clears his throat and tries again, pleading urgently with the nurse, "I'm alright. Please focus on the boy."
'Boy.' Jason is only fifteen, Wally's pretty sure. Tiny. Powerless. He should call Batman and demand answers. Why is Robin in Ethiopia and not Gotham? Where were you? He doesn't remember Barry questioning Batman's authority often. But Barry would've never let Kid Flash be in another country alone with no teammates and no mentor.
-Wally West has been the Flash for only a few months after his uncle sacrifices himself to save the world. Barry had been a hero. Wally's just trying to get by. Then Wally goes for a standard run that leads him stumbling across a badly beaten Robin. He saves him. He has no idea yet, but this changes everything.

Summary
Sometimes you get kidnapped by a philanthropist billionaire who dresses up as a furry to terrorize the criminals of Gotham after sundown and then you promptly get adopted by the same freak. Sometimes the same guys discards you on the streets with a couple gaps in your memory and just the clothes on your back.
Then he, and his new larger family, kidnaps you back in to the family and then try to convince you it's all magic so that he can bring you back into the family.
But not to worry if you are Jason Todd because he's no push-over and may god strike him down before he lets his kidnappers--"We're family, Jason"--just drag him back in to the family.
OR
How Jason Todd learned that it's okay to let your family love you (and just in time for Christmas phew!).

Summary
Jason is on good terms with his family, he really is, everyone has done their part and even if there are things that he himself considers unforgivable, it seems that his family thinks the opposite.
Either way, there's no time for regrets when there are bad guys to deal with, and the Wayne family isn't exactly known for expressing feelings correctly. Black Mask is planning something, probably a big drug deal, and Red Hood can't allow it.
Of course, he wasn't expecting an ambush by a metahuman, and all he can manage is to call for help. The flashing light of his emergency beacon brings back unpleasant memories for Bruce. Maybe this is an opportunity to do things right from the beginning.

Summary
Jason had known taking off the helmet back at Titan's Tower was a gamble but he couldn't help it. He wanted to scare Tim even more and what better way to do that then to show him the previous Robin who was very much alive again. Between the scars and menacing look he had on his face, Jason knew he had been pretty successful. That was until he lost control. Lost control so bad that he blacked out in a Pit-fit and the next thing he knew he was starring at a broken Tim Drake. Had he wanted to tear the replacement apart? Of course, but Jason had held himself in check because even if the kid was an alpha, he was still that, a kid.

The Bat family learns Jason Todd is back from the dead in the worst way possible, with him almost killing Tim. Dick Grayson is understandably pissed when he finds out.
