Summary
Graham always planned to go out in a grand, unique way, y’know- like fighting a horde of armed officers himself- or burning alive. Something sick. Something people would talk about.
‘Electrician gets electrocuted’. How original. Fork found in toaster. He’d say his friends would never let him live this down but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to live through this one at all. Plus, he doesn’t know if he has any of those ‘friends’ left at this point.
Maybe it’s for the best then, he muses as his vision is overtaken by a dark grey, the kind you're only supposed to see when your eyes are closed, that the closest friend he had is the one who pulled the trigger. At least someone will watch him die.

Shadowsan peels one eye open, then the other. He'd be lying if he had said he had forgotten Graham Calloway was standing there next to him; no, his training would never allow for such a lack of mental awareness. But he was about as close as he possibly could've been- relishing in the feel of heat falling into the precipices of his leathery face, former thief-school protege tucked away into peripheral acknowledgement only.
But, alas. The boy liked to talk. Which made ignoring his presence all the more taxing.
