After his Father returns from America to whisk his mother away when he leaves again, Midoriya Izuku makes the only logical decision in the moment.
Run as far in the opposite direction as possible.
But as he takes these leaps away, he quickly finds a short-term solution to maybe 3 of his about 17 existing problems whilst creating 4 more: Vigilantism.

Midoriya Izuku couldn't believe it, he was actually going to UA! Sure not in the hero course as he originally had planned but he's still going to UA!
Izuku stared at his specialified uniform. The fur on his legs and the goat like legs was the sight he saw. Izuku took a deep breath, there was no need to worry. People should be different here at UA.... not how people normally are, Izuku walked into his classroom door and was met with the sight of only one student, made sense with how early he came. Izuku was quick to take in the students figure. They were a male with middle long black hair, really big eyebags [not that he could say much, he was legit using makeup]. The male person had red eyes and was really tired, but no visible quirk which meant that it might be a mental quirk or something close to thatOr
Midoriya Izuku is born the same year as Aizawa Shouta, Yamada Hizashi and Shirakumo Oboro and befriends them.
Midoriya Izuku has a mutant quirk where he is like a goat but hated for it.
Midoriya Izuku is in an abusive house and gets muzzled at every opportunity by his mother.---

Summary
"(i still believe that) we could be kind" is a series featuring any fics that take place after "More than Dangerous". all fics aside from that one can be read or skipped around in any order, but that original fic is somewhat fundamental for understanding what the situation is. of course, you don't have to read it if you don't want to, just check the notes below! feel free to poke in whatever order you like, anarchists <3
These fics primarily take place post-canon and have a focus on hurt/comfort, found family, and recovery from events in EPIC.

Summary
There were rumors, quickly squashed by the island kingdom, that the Prince of Ithaca had grown wings on his feet when he was a boy. There were rumors that he had wings elsewhere too; on his back and behind his ears. They were squashed even quicker. Anyone who could get a look at the prince could see that his body was not adorned in feathers of any kind.
None of them knew, and Ithaca’s royal family planned to keep it that way. Fearing that this problem of unknown origin (curse or yet another divine being’s fling with a mortal) would be seen as an insult to the gods and bring down their wrath. Odysseus has grown used to having to cut down or hide the extra appendages, but the struggle only grew when he was forced into the Trojan War.
Now, with the war at its end and his fleet ready to return home, he only has one thing on his mind; getting back to his wife and son.
OR
An alternate universe where Hermes's relation to one particular Greek hero becomes a bit more prominent, and he suddenly has a much better reason to help Odysseus on his journey home.
