Truly, they’re the kind of eyes poets would write sonnets about; Suguru has never seen anything like them. Even hidden behind his round spectacles, Gojō Satoru’s eyes are bright and beautiful and impossibly blue.
Lethal, too — especially when the software engineer wields them like a weapon against weaker men. Men like Suguru.

"I spent my whole life trying to figure out who was out here lighting up these celestial flowers. But now I think I've found the answer, and I don't think it's about the sky anymore. Satoru stares at him, and whatever he's holding back finally gives way to an understanding smile working its way across his features like the sun finding its way through a parting storm.

Or, in which Suguru Geto dreams of seeing the stars he's only ever read about in books, and happens to strike a deal with a rather handsome thief who vows to bring him to them.

I HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS SO LONG AND I LITERALLY JUMPED IN JOY WHEN I FOUND IT. I saw a tangled x jjk fanart and knew i needed the fic now. And it did not disappoint. I really loved the jjk twist on the story, it was so nicely written and enjoyable to read. Nanami as maximus literally killed me. Words cannot describe how happy I am that I found this.

“Have you frightened them all away?” he whispers to the okuri-okami, lowering his bow and letting its knocked arrow point to the earth. Ominously, the dark centers of the wolf's pale eyes roll up to meet his stare. “Only you are allowed to eat me? Is that it?”
It gives no answer, of course. Suguru smiles, nevertheless grateful for the company—for no other ghastly, beastly resident of these woods would dare interlope on the okuri-okami’s marked hunt and steal its prey.
Which is Suguru, apparently.
While fleeing the Zen’in clan, Suguru takes up shelter in the shadow of an abandoned shrine, deep within forests said to crawl with all manner of monster. Soon enough, he finds himself with a strange, nightly companion: a great white wolf as liable to devour him as protect him.

WOWWWW. This was so interesting and well written. I felt such an impending sense of doom while reading it, but I literally could not stop. I love how you can slowly see how Gojo's mindset changes as he keeps seeing Geto. I related to Gojo's character so much, which is why Geto's freaked me out so bad. I really like how their relationship wasn't romanticized, and you could see how toxic it was. Anyways, it was a really heavy read, but I loved it regardless.

Suguru tilts his head back and flicks his bangs out of his face, the ‘fuck you’ just on the tip of his tongue. “Cute coming from the man I’ve accepted payoffs from multiple times,” he replies easily.

There's a reason why I avoid canon complaint fics... and that's because satosugu ruined me :( I'm half i read this though. Reading this while following the music recs was an experience, I literally saved so many new songs on spotify because of this fic. That being said, this was SO SO beautifully written, some of the best characterization I've seen for geto, if not the best. The music booth scene with thier first kiss literally lives in my mind rent free, and the end was absolutely devastating. I'll think about this fic everytime I see hidden inventory or an edit of it now....it genuinely made my heart hurt

He’s still watching the other when he quickly pulls out a floral umbrella, seemingly out of nowhere, opens it to its full size, twirling it above the two of them as he suddenly presses into Satoru. Satoru lets out a surprised squawk, but it’s quickly muffled by a hand against his mouth.
“Don’t freak out,” the mystery man murmurs, and Satoru is once again swept with a wave of something that feels vaguely like nostalgia at the sound of his voice.
“Don’t freak out?” he hisses back when the hand over his mouth is finally removed. “Who even are you?” His eyes dart to the umbrella above them. “What’s that for?”
“The umbrella’s to hide us from the security camera,” the other explains, and Satoru vaguely remembers seeing a camera in the corner of the elevator that is now utterly blocked by the umbrella. “As for who I am…” His eyes glance away. “That’s not important right now.”
