They were the last - and the enemy was still coming. Peter's gaze, chilled, savage, half dead already, turned to Stiles.
"Go. I'll hold them off."
They were the last. And if Stiles had a chance of seeing this through, he'd have to accept the wolf's sacrifice.
One last smile, and it was the first true smile Stiles had seen on that face - fondness, warmth, humor, a depth of emotion Stiles could fathom seeing on that face. Peter's eyes, glowing wolf red - an alpha again, an alpha of ash-killed land and constant winter, and severed bonds - warmed. "It's always been you, sweetheart."
Too many messages in those stilted words. Too much left unsaid. Too much left undone.
"Find me, when you go back. Its the only thing I ask."
"I can't leave you."
"Yes, you can. There's nothing here to leave, sweetheart."
Cracking branches, the thud of roughshod feet running their way. Their brief respite was over. They were the last, and Peter was sacrificing himself so Stiles could escape. Fuck.

They make out for God knows how long, because time seemed to stop for Stiles ever since he met this man. He finds himself getting lost in the moon light and his touch. He has never felt anything like this, such euphoria that no drug has ever given him.
He wonders if Peter feels the same, or if this is just another hookup. Stiles wants to make it not so obvious that this is his first time doing anything like this.
Or; One intense encounter with Peter leaves Stiles confused, exhilarated, and wanting more from this mysterious blue-eyed man.

When Peter returns from a two month trip abroad to learn that a new werefox has moved to town with his daughter, and that said werefox is an alpha, he’s instantly on edge. He doesn't like not knowing anything about these strangers or what kind of trouble they may bring. Finding out that the young, unassuming, coffee shop owning single father is actually the (arguably legendary) Mad Fox? Well, there’s no way Peter’s letting this go now. Not until he’s learned everything there is to know about this man and the secrets that hide behind his smile.
Drawn to Beacon Hills by a thriving Nemeton, Stiles is hopeful that he and his daughter may have finally found someplace to call home. Alexa is finally old enough to start school in the fall and Stiles has found a surprising contentment in running his little coffee shop. He’s not expecting to grow so attached to his two teenaged employees, nor the sudden desire to open up their little pack of two after so many years of being on their own.
There’s a lot more to this werefox than meets the eye, and the more Peter unravels the mystery of his past, the more intrigued he becomes. No matter what happens next, everything is about to change.

He was positive he could take on an intruder as long as they were not some huge body builder.
The door knob twisted and he was running out of time. He quickly spotted the discarded Converse and grabbed a shoe. He held the sneaker up in the air like a bat. He was ready to shoe this trespasser in the head if that was a thing. He wasn’t sure if it was. Shit!
The door flung open and a young man strolled out without a care in the world, humming some song to himself, oblivious to his surroundings – no situational awareness to be found. His brown hair was wet and messy with strands askew.
And… he was completely naked. One hundred percent bare. Peter’s eyes drifted down the pale torso that was covered in moles with some beads of water still trickling down his rib cage towards the vee of his narrowed waist.
His eyes could not help but follow the trail towards his crotch to check out… “oh my fucking God. Who are you?” The other voice unfortunately sliced through his ogling session causing his eyes to refocus back to the young man’s face who now finally appeared startled by a stranger standing in front of him.
Oh yeah, he was supposed to be confronting an intruder; not checking him out

Summary
Stiles hated being useless, but as a human in a pack of werewolves that's exactly what he was. He could probably have sucked it up if his pack members were able to protect themselves, but with none of them willing to get their hands dirty the threats kept piling up. Worse, he had started to think Deaton had a sinister agenda as well.
Then Stiles discovered what was left of the Nemeton, a guardian tree which could give him the power to protect everyone himself. In order to bond with it and bring it back to full strength he would need the help of an Alpha, one willing to do whatever it took to keep their pack safe no matter how unsavory or illegal. No one fit that role better than Peter. All Stiles had to do was help him become an Alpha again.
(Or: Peter and Stiles protect Beacon Hills by carving a bloody path through their enemies, and fall for each other in the process.)
