Summary

Summary

Armed with traditional medicine that can halt his curse's effects until the next sunrise, Ranma alone heads to Japan while Genma remains in China looking for a more permanent cure.
Of course, this means Ranma isn't remotely accustomed to being a girl when he doesn't want to be, and suddenly thrust into an engagement he wasn't expecting, nobody in Furinkan actually knows he and the mysterious redheaded girl who arrived at almost the same time are the same person.
All Ranma has to do is keep it that way, avoid being her, and definitely avoid getting into trouble as her. Ramna had never been very good at staying out of trouble.

Summary
The Phoenix Saga
Ranma, having lost the Phoenix Pill and being all but trapped in his feminine form, leaves the Tendo Dojo in search of a "normal" life. With the Full Body Cat's Tongue rendering them unable to take a hit and putting martial arts largely out of her life, Ranma needs a new career path, too. After spending a few months homeless in Tokyo, Ranma ends up getting a job in a bar run by a found family consisting of the owner and four hard-luck girls that work there and now live as sisters. At the Phoenix, Ranma finds a place where she can be accepted and "normal," learns to deal with the trauma she's experienced and finds acceptance with her new family. As she does so, she also learns to live as a young woman, discovering a new talent and potential career as a singer.
Book II: Embers
Ranko attempts to reconnect with Akane without risking the new life she's built at the Phoenix. The Christmas holiday brings challenges and opportunities for Ranko and her sisters, and an old score is finally settled.
