Summary
This AU is basically "What if Melissa McCall was originally Melissa Chapman, and Marco was Scott's dad?" This is also an "everyone is queer" AU. The plot starts when Melissa, after learning of her son's lycanthropy, calls Cassie for help.
Some details of canon have been changed to allow these two universes to mesh well. Ages and dates have been slightly changed, but the biggest detail is that no one knows about The Yeerk Invasion, which was covered up by the U.S. as soon as the military became involved.

Summary
Jake Berenson is the captain of his cousin's salvage ship. Their friends/romantic interests, Cassie and Tobias, run the engine and fly the ship, respectively, while Marco rents one of the shuttles for his own business. It's not an easy life, but they make do. Jake makes sure of that. But when Rachel and Marco smuggle a new guest onboard, Jake could never guess how completely their lives were about to change.
