Alhaitham continues to outdo himself day by day, purchasing uglier and uglier furnitures—from geometric bookshelves that don't match a thing in their home to the multitude of hideously-designed books he strews everywhere, not one purchase of Alhaitham's is up to par. But his latest one may just be Kaveh's tipping point.
(Or, maybe, it just may be what saves Alhaitham from yet another lecture. He hopes so, at least.)

Trapped within a domain, Kaveh and Alhaitham are forced to enact a ghost wedding—one playing the role of King Deshret, the other Nabu Malikata. Only then will they be allowed to leave.

When Cyno informed Kaveh of Alhaitham’s death and the circumstances surrounding it, he simply laughed. Kaveh found the entire notion quite laughable indeed.
“Cyno, this may just be the worst joke you’ve ever told me,” Kaveh chuckled. “I do admit that you scared me for a second. Are you perhaps going for a different approach to joke-telling after your previous methods didn’t work?” Kaveh asked, completely ignoring the deep furrow in Cyno’s eyebrows as he stood with his arms crossed outside the front door. Kaveh completely ignored the way Cyno’s fingers dug into the flesh of his arm, remaining silent at Kaveh’s response.
Alhaitham dies, and Kaveh is amounted to nothing but a mess as he grieves his death.
Fate was cruel to make Kaveh realise his feelings for Alhaitham only mere days before his disappearance.
