Summary
He keeps a close eye on Izel as she and Cacucu play, feeling Ifa relax into him with small talk gradually melting away into the gentle lull of an ended conversation. His mate was always weak to the sunny rays, not in the same way he was, but in that Ifa loved sunbathing. He’d especially come to love it while carrying Izel, and the habit stuck around long after she was born.
It was kind of a day like this when they decided to start their family in the first place, only that Summer ended just last month. Sunny days accompanied by a fierce breeze, chilly and swirling all directions to embrace the greetings of Fall. She is a rampant, burning little thing, and Cacucu, a physical being of pyro energy, doesn’t seem to bode well for the future security of their household. Nonetheless, he loves their daughter and knows, given the choice, he would choose to bring her into this world, into his life, each and every universe.

Four years since their daughter was born, Ifa and Ororon enjoy a comfortable, domestic life. Things quickly change when on a family outing, they find something peculiar- A little baby, seemingly abandoned. Now Ifa's acting distant, and Ororon is suddenly reminded of his own childhood.

Summary
The cruelest thing about the Nameless was that they made it so easy to pretend that Sunday belonged. They fed that greedy, stupid, childish thing that cried out from within him, tossing enough scraps of amity for him to piece them together into something that felt like home. The curtains only closed when Sunday lay awake at night and stared at the ceiling of the bedroom that wasn’t really his, and he remembered that it started like this and could only end like this: with him, alone in the dark.
Sunday is found by the Astral Express Crew after fleeing Penacony. He accepts their offer to join, and realizes that
a. fitting into this tight-knit group is likely impossible
b. trouble finds the Trailblazers no matter where they go.or, the chronicle of the Astral Express trying, failing, and trying again to fit Sunday into their family.

“Aren’t I?” he retorts. It’s too late to back out now that he’s started the conversation, now that he’s laying himself bare in front of the one person he respects most on this train. “What is it that differentiates me from an injured dove, Mr. Yang? My body might be fine, but to say the same of my mind –”
“You’re not an injured dove either,” Mr. Yang cuts in, firm. Final. His gaze lifts from the tea, eyes blazing with something Sunday can’t name. “And even if you were, you would’ve gotten better with help.”
