Some (he) would call it manly—to make a point to humbly excuse themselves in respected company—some (also he) would even go as far as to label it as an appreciative expression for art, because when the food was good it was a compliment, but others (everyone, except maybe Kaminari, who could do it on command) were indifferent or called it childish. And even in the rare case when it wasn’t chuckle-worthy, it presented an entertaining option of something to do when he and his friends were bored off their asses or just looking to have some light-hearted fun with each other, the underlying competition of the display giving a way for someone to assert themselves. Mostly as a joke.
And who asserted themselves on a daily basis unironically more than anyone else he knew? Bakugou.
