“What’re you doin’ to me?” Logan whispers against Wade’s neck, face tucked close. Hiding. He feels a kiss pressed to the side of his face, Wade’s lips warm and chapped slightly.
“Do you like it, sweetheart?” It’s not even remotely an explanation or an answer; evasive and slippery as Wade always is. He tightens one arm around Logan’s waist, bringing his other hand up to rub over his chest, roughly comforting. The way you’d pet a dog.
“I don’t—,” he gasps brokenly, breath catching in his throat. “I don’t know.” It’s too much. It’s not enough. He never wants to see Wade again. He wants to crawl inside his ribcage and make a home there.(Wade soft doms Logan into submission; Logan realizes he likes being a lap puppy)

Everyone is filled with a consumerist desire to buy truck-fulls of presents and decorations and pretend that lying to children is a practice only evil men don’t participate in. Erik never much cared for the nostalgia towards the awful weather or the unavoidable ‘Merry Christmas’ greetings.
Years ago, Charles would call him a grinch and tease him into enjoying the idea of Secret Santa. Nowadays, he has a five year old daughter that climbs onto his lap and tells him with big, pleading brown eyes that killing Mr. Xavier is not something he should do.

Charles was staring at the huge ball of dough sitting on the counter, looking at it as if it would start telling him the answers for what he was supposed to do. He knew the answer technically- fill, fold, bake. Erik had made it sound so simple, look so simple, when he projected the memories of the countless times he had made hamantaschen. Except Charles was decidedly not Erik, and he was finding himself utterly clueless because of it.
Erik leaves Charles in charge of the Hamantaschen. That was a mistake.
