Summary
The lights turn off, plunging everything into almost complete darkness. There are small emergency lights, but those are too close to the ceiling to give them too much light. Enough that it isn’t pitch black.
What's happening? Raf wonders.
Footsteps begin shaking the ground. The trio turn in the direction and through the very dim emergency lights, they catch the silhouettes of Bulkhead and Arcee.
“Bulkhead!” Miko shouts. “What gives? You were supposed to pick me up!”
“Sorry, Miko,” Bulkhead replies. “Something came up.”
Raf catches it, something about Bulkhead’s voice sounds off. Almost muffled.
“Arcee?” Jack asks. “Anything to add?”
Buzzing starts in the back of Raf’s head at Arcee’s silence but continued movement toward them. He grabs Jack’s sleeve, turning to look at him. While he can’t catch much, the look Jack has seems confused. Miko starts heading over.
“Miko, wait!” Jack snaps, his voice an octave to high to sound casual.
*Raf, Jack and Miko catch a ride to base from Jack's mom and find the main area quiet and empty, devoid of the usual ruckus. Then the power goes out, and everything goes downhill from there.

Summary
The field scene but it's Byler and they play-wrestle.
“Totally,” Mike replies with an eye roll. “No! Obviously not! I’m just saying that, you know, you’re a wizard like him.”
Will’s smile gives Mike butterflies that he tries to ignore, “In DnD, Mike, not real life.”
“True. In real life, you’re more like a sorcerer. Because your powers don’t come from a book of spells. They’re innate.” Will huffs out a laugh while nodding, clearly enjoying his theory but not believing it. “Listen, as far as crazy theories go, I’ve had crazier. And with El in the Upside Down, we really need some magic up here.”
Will gently pushes Mike and laughs, prompting a small laugh from Mike. Mike puts his hand on Will’s chest and gives him a gentle push back. Will looks surprised, but he’s still smiling so Mike isn’t concerned.
“Really?” Will asks.
“What are you gonna do about it?”

Summary
Mike’s tired voice saying something that Will can’t make out draws his attention. He turns and Mike’s head is turned toward him, eyes are still closed. His mouth is moving, but no noise comes out. Will rushes over and strokes his hair and face.
“It’s alright,” he says. “It’s okay.”
Mike’s face presses gently on Will’s hand. Will smiles and then Mike kisses his palm. Will’s face heats up but he tries to keep his voice neutral, “You can go back to sleep.” Mike sighs against Will’s hand and it only takes a minute for his breathing to even out again.
Alternately, Mike's sick and Will takes care of him.

There’s a moment of quiet struggle as Luis repositions himself in bed - Krauser’s knife had gotten him right in the spine, and how much that hinders his movement seems to vary by the hour, the doctors still hoping for a miracle - but soon enough, he’s holding the book open in one hand, head raised proudly, clearing his throat.
“Desocupado lector,” he begins, exaggeratedly dramatic, gesturing like a stereotypical Shakespeare performer, “sin juramento me podrás creer-”
“Your doctors are going to kill me, giving you more reasons to run your mouth,” Leon interjects, knowing that his window to get a word in edgeways is creeping ever smaller.
