As it turns out, he was abducted a couple of weeks earlier from a college party and bears the same marks on his body as victims of a serial killer his dad just can’t seem to get a hold of. So there he is, with no memories of what happened, the last couple of weeks like a blank line in his mind and knowing all too well that he’s the best shot they have at catching this guy. Summary
There’s no rational order to it.
It’s like organised chaos, much like how his brain works.
It starts out as post-trauma dreams.
Then the sleep deprivation which is swiftly followed by the waking dreams-slash-hallucinations and the occasional nightmare when he’s exhausted enough to fall asleep. Only it’s at this stage that he feels the burning, sees the flames, and ends up smelling like burnt corpses.

Stiles is left a disorientated, confused, shivering and wet mess.“Hey,” Derek repeats, hooking a finger under the pale boy’s chin and forcing his gaze to lock on him. “We need to get you into some warm and dry clothes,” Derek says. Stiles blinks at him but still doesn’t respond.

He remembers some details of his life quite vividly. Stiles remembers his dad, Scott, Scott’s mom. He knows he’s a junior at Beacon Hills High School and that his dad is the sheriff of the town, has been the sheriff for over seven years now. He remembers having a pet guinea pig called ‘Bacon’ when he was six, and that he got suspended when he was in middle school when he threw a punch at a classmate who was bullying Scott. He knows Scott is his best friend and that they have been best friends since the first grade. He remembers that his mom died when he was eight and that both he and his dad had taken her death pretty hard.
He doesn’t remember the man called Derek.
