Summary
The corpse merged with the water and finally melted into a large pool of blood. The blood gushing out of him filled my bathtub. The walls, the mirrors, the blankets... blood was splattered everywhere, and this place became a world of blood.
The corpse on the stretcher was covered with a thin layer of linen. The cloth absorbed the remaining blood from the corpse and completely adhered to the exposed flesh. Through this layer of wet shroud, Stanley looked younger than before. Like an exposed sculpture.
A thought came to me, Stanley Will my soul return to visit you? Or maybe you've returned to some place I can never go.
Father took my hand and we said goodbye to Stanley together. That day, I knew that our family of three could not meet at the narrow gate after all.

Summary
Yes, maybe the other three boys weren't that important to Branch, they had all left without saying goodbye. It had made Branch think it was his fault they were separated, yet it was because of Floyd that he still believed that what had happened wasn't his fault, that what they experienced was just a one time thing . Believing him was their salvation.
"Look, if there was ever a brother I would do this for, and I'm not saying there is..." He sighed, "It would be Floyd."
But still Floyd did things, he didn't do them as violent as the others, he didn't make as much of a fuss but he didn't stop once he started. When they were done, he'd hear Floyd cry, giving little kisses to calm him down and then they'd go on again.
Floyd was sweet, he apologized for his actions, it didn't make them any less painful. He just wanted to make him feel good, Floyd was the only one who said goodbye, he didn't leave him like trash and promised to fix what he broke with his fingers, however he had grown tired of waiting for him.
