He was now a baby once more, carried by one Harry Potter in the Forest. In the aftermath of the war, he gazed at the baby with a sense of hopelessness and despair. The Ministry had said that as the Savior of the Wizarding World, he was responsible for raising Voldemort or Tom Riddle to be a good citizen and had given him the tools needed to keep the Dark Lord’s memories locked away for good.

Anything else was a waste of time. And there was so little of that.

Percival offers him a kind smile and pats his face before nudging him to the side. Credence nearly trips in his eagerness, rushing to Newt. Percival leans against the wall and lights another cigarette, letting Newt work his part.

"Come on, little one. Hide and seek is over." The voice had a reassuring tone to it, but there was also a note of authority. Harry shook his head frantically and another tear rolled down his cheek.Harry's life is turned upside down after he is the only survivor of a terrorist attack. Luckily for him, at the same time a dangerous individual happens to take an interest in him and fate ensures that there are plenty of encounters between them.
Except that Harry has no luck and fate has nothing to do with it.
