Summary
“It’s always been in you, this thing, this pathetic fucking parasite. This need for violence. You could do something great with it, if it doesn’t kill you first. It’s why you’re no one. It’s why you’re always cold. I bet it’s warm now though, huh? A hot bath after a long day. But don’t mistake it for love. Not for a second. It isn’t love. It’s our chains.”
There’s a new gang threatening the Rippers’ monopoly on illegal weapons dealing, growing like a tumour in London’s financial heart. Levi, the Rippers’ strongest weapon, is given a simple task: cut the head off the opposition; kill their leader, Erwin Smith.

What it says on the tin, folks.
(With a healthy dose of pining)
***
Castiel's true form is made of electromagnetic radiation. He has spent the majority of his life, if you really want to add it all up and average the whole thing out, as a wavelength of celestial intent. The thing about being made of light: it's light in the physics sense of the word. Castiel's waves are gamma, x-ray, micro, and radio. He's visible light too, of course, a visible light so intense that it is blinding to most humans.

In which Dean is forced to deal with his trauma and come to a reckoning with himself. Also, Cas is there.
See notes for more specific Content Warnings.
*** *** ***
"No one hates you as much as you do," Crowley told him once. That's Dean's whole M.O. right there. His two fundamental truths are that it is his job to save everyone, and that no matter how many people he saves it will never change the fact that he is 90% crap.
Dean knows who he is. Yeah, he's done some good for the world, okay, he gets that. But deep down? The person he is inside is still worthless. Dean will never be good enough, never be any kind of role model. He's never going to shake that, so if that's what this whole seven trials angelic bullshit is about, then he and Cas might as well hold hands and drive off the cliff now.

“Porsche is extremely close to signing. In fact, he has a final meeting with the execs on Monday morning. The only condition is that he wants to request his first partner, and it’s you.”
Kinn takes a long drink of his whiskey, sets the glass down, and runs his tongue over his teeth. “So you had to meet with me, urgently, to tell me that a beautiful boy wants me to fuck him, thinking I’d say no.” He drums his fingers on the bartop. “Which means there’s a catch.”

No one was paying any attention at all to Alec, so Alec kept paying attention to Magnus.

Summary
At fourteen, Alec gave his heart away to a witch. Now, Magnus sets off to get it back.
or: a fairy tale that grew legs, then plot
Both hope and anxiety swirled within Alec, leaving him trembling, and every word from Magnus added to it. Alec opened his mouth to interrupt, to call it all off, because clearly this was more effort than was worth it, than he was worth. But he thought of the dimming excitement in Magnus’ eyes when he’d confessed his empty heart, the sadness, the pity. He didn’t want Magnus to look at him like that anymore.

Summary
Alec is absolutely certain he hasn’t moved. He’s still seated at his desk, catching his breath; still has the heels of his palms pressed to his eyes. Despite knowing that, being fully aware of his body’s position the way he’s been trained to do his entire life, somehow he opens his eyes to find himself lying down in a dark room.
There’s a man in his arms. With every exhale, Alec’s breath ruffles someone else’s hair.

Summary
It starts during their first fuck after “The Incident” as Magnus was calling it now. Alec had been hovering over him, effectively turning Magnus’ brain into mush when it happened. It wasn’t the sentence that Alec uttered out in the midst of the heat, but the way he looked at Magnus.
Like he was something invaluable.
Something worth saving.
It scares Magnus because Alec looked like he sincerely meant that. And even more he fears that he might actually believe it himself.

Summary
Alec emerges from one of the bathroom stalls already fully dressed in a gray suit, plain white dress shirt, and hair neatly combed.
He looks like he always does, which is to say: painfully handsome and angry at the world.
A week into his new living arrangements and Magnus has realized that no matter where Izzy goes, she wears towering stilettos that hurt Magnus just to look at them, Jace is a mostly harmless douchebag, and Alec is a big mystery, their very own Phantom of the Loft.

And Magnus Bane is the epitome of everything evil about Downworlders.
At least, that's what people keep telling him. Alec's not quite so sure anymore.
