This bore­dom was easy to ignore at first, but as the years have dragged on at a snail's pace but also simul­tane­ous­ly dis­tress­ing­ly quickly, one day Kusuo realises he doesn't enjoy his life anymore.

    In the years since high school, our psychic has attained his dream of an ordinary life, but is it still what he wants? It's kind of boring, isn't it? After a series of frustrating events and a costly mistake, he takes the time to reflect upon this, and has an un­expected reali­sation.

    Meanwhile, elsewhere in Japan, a woman who by all accounts was ex­pect­ed to have an easy life has had any­thing but. Betray­ed by every­one, evict­ed by her family, about to hit her break­ing point and end it all, she man­ages to find her­self in exact­ly the right place and time…
