Summary
“Ed— What are you doing?” Stede demands, bewildered, a new sort of heat flashing through him at the sight of him tugging his pants down. “Wh—”
“You said we could go swimming,” Ed reminds him. “On vacation.”
He kicks them off, leaving him in his stockings and silk underthings from the waist down, moving to tear his shirt apart next. It comes up and off over his head in an intoxicating sweep of leather, only a minor amount of wriggling required for him to work his way out.
Stede’s only able to— stare, for a beat, before Ed kicks at his shin. “Take your clothes off, love, ‘cause I’m throwing you in with or without them.”
Love, he says, and Stede’s fingers clench up into white-knuckled fists before he rushes to do as Ed’s instructed him to do, half-intoxicated with desire, half-terrified Ed will ruin his clothes with the saltwater.

“After everything we’ve been through, you thought I didn’t want you?” Ed asks. He looks so hurt, it makes Stede’s heart ache, “You thought I’d, what, fuck off because we haven’t fucked yet?”
Stede shakes his head. He should have told him this long ago so he could realize how silly it sounds. He needed Ed to simplify it for him. He holds Ed’s face gently, “No… I didn’t really… I was just scared and being foolish. I’m sorry.”
Ed closes his eyes, leaning into Stede's palm and shaking his head, “No. No, I’m sorry… I just thought we were taking things slow and… and I liked it.”

Ed’s gentle chuckle came from the back of the room. “Look on the windowsill, my pet.”
A shiver went down Stede’s spine. Ed had only started calling him that recently, and only when he was in a very particular mood. He closed the door again and turned to face the windowsill. Once he saw it, he was surprised he hadn’t noticed before. There was a stack of neatly folded leathers resting on the sil, with a single tropical flower sitting atop it. Stede flushed with excitement at the invitation it represented.

Summary
“Stede, that was definitely not nothing” Edward goes on, lowering his voice into an angry whisper. “He had a fuckin’ knife to your fuckin’ chest, mate! And the things- the things he said!”. He sounds really upset, and, oddly enough, it seems to be more about the fact that the man has attacked Stede than because he has disobeyed one of his orders.
Set between episode 7 and episode 8. Chased by the Spanish, the Revenge has had to rendezvous with the Queen Anne, Blackbeard's ship, to escape defeat. In the aftermath of battle, Stede finally has the chance to visit the legendary vessel; things do not go as planned. Luckily, Edward is there to pick up the pieces - and to provide and receive comfort.

But spending so long drowning in compulsory heterosexuality has left wounds all over Stede's heart that he hadn't even realized were there. Luckily, Ed is happy to help him stitch up every last one.
Basically a sickeningly emotional fic where Stede and Ed explore each other and their sexual relationship and navigate the choppy waters of trauma with the healing power of gay love.
Technically a sequel to "Different, With You" but can be read on its own.

It’s been almost 14 months now - and Stede Bonnet is dead as a doornail. He can still see the obituary, the one that Izzy had found in Barbados, and had so joyfully passed onto Edward after they’d left the port. Ed can still see the smug, pleased smirk that had tickled Izzy’s face when Ed had read the paper. Stede Bonnet - deceased. Survived by his wife and children.
More than a year after Stede Bonnet's death, Edward happens across him, seemingly alive and well, and singing love songs in a dive bar in Tahiti.
