Summary
A timelapse of a supermarket clerk's obsession as it develops over seven months, from what he thinks is love at first sight to what is definitely the death knell to his life. All of this over a woman twice his age who's already dating another woman and isn't even into men, no less.
Intended to be a deconstruction of the plot structure of a dark romance's prologue, mocking the way the plot is set up in either the prologue (if the book has one) or the first few chapters until the male lead's establishment in the story. It's less comedic than my other 1000-word satirical short stories before it as a result.

Summary
An easy morning in the wake of Lucy's second birthday (well, second birthday after Megan Borland adopted Lucy and Allie Connor began reworking her remote job's organization to give her an excuse to fund Megan's motherhood) midway through 2015 quickly turns into chaos when one of Allie's former business partners decide that Lucy is in dire need of a father, and he should be one.
Alternatively, this is what happens when you get tired of causing dark romance AI roleplay plots to devolve into pandemonium by including a child into the mix, and subsequently decide to write a 1000-word short story mocking the sheer destabilization factor of inserted children.

Summary
A manager who was swamped with complaints by so many of his underlings and other men working in the main headquarters of Omniphar Enterprises, housed in Baltimore, Maryland, decides to confront the CEO and get him to consider a change in organizational structure.
Alternatively, this is what happens when you constantly derail office-centric dark romance AI roleplays by having the female lead resign and/or attempt to get the male lead to shape up and restructure the org to avoid contact with other men so he doesn't get jealous, and decide to write a 1000-word short story about that very same derailment path.

Summary
What was supposed to be just another scuffle against domipaths at work ends up being the moment Rika is dragged into an ongoing post-marital dispute between a Yale School of Art student and her abusive art professor ex-husband. Against all odds - not that it mattered much, given how domipathic men commonly behave - her efforts to help said student quickly prove to be what it takes to give her the strength to fight her way out of her egg and fly to God.
Covers the two prologue chapters and Chapters 1-14 of the main Heartstick Chronicles story. Partly influenced by Hermann Hesse's Demian, especially whenever Angie is concerned.

Summary
This is where my 1000-word satirical short stories aimed at dark romance as a genre would be gathered up for ease of reading. This series is meant to avoid cluttering up the scrap pack, as there's enough of these to form its own mini-universe of sorts.

Summary
They're monsters, all of them. I didn't ask for it, but I caught their attention nonetheless.
They're predators wrapped in sophisticated charm - cold-blooded, manipulative, and savage.
The worst part is that no one sees their devil sides. I do, and that costs me everything.
I run, but the thing about monsters?
Is that they always devolve into infighting as they brawl over me.Yeah, most of us are sick and tired of these one billion jealous men tearing everything apart.
Sure, we have utopia from cleaning up the damage they've done all the time, but that didn't solve their tom-turkey egos.
And here I am, just wanting to sit down while basking in the death of wage slavery.
But NOOOOOO, I'm forced to arm up just to get these guys to sit down.
So... here I am, armed to the teeth and fighting for my life on a daily basis.
I don't think anybody minds, though.- unknown, overheard near Clear Water Coffee and Tea, New Haven
Set in a version of the real world, in which various dark romance tropes are warped on a large scale until society falls into chaos.
Inspired by the game Postal 2, with combat choreography influenced by Souls-like RPGs.- Words:
