The 141 knows very little about humans. They're fearsome, dangerous creatures from an even worse planet. The few expeditions foolish enough to get close disappeared entirely. The one report salvaged from a lucky ship, a long time ago, isn't really helping.
They have to figure out what to do with the one in front of them.Or, humans are space orcs but make it COD.

“Mmthanks” Soap mumbles and moves back to fully sit in his chair. He is definitely not thinking about the ways Simon is visual and tactile as well.
Simon hands Soap his journal and waits for Soap to say anything more. Which he doesn’t because he can’t because Simon has said things to him that no one has ever said. It’s the opposite of his nightmare from last week. He’s sitting in the office of someone who would’ve been his superior if they were still enlisted and he’s being told he’s talented and intuitive like it’s nothing. But it’s not nothing. It’s everything.

Three months after being medically discharged, Soap is feeling aimless and in need of support. He goes to his local Veterans Association and meets with social worker Simon Riley, who helps him find a new way forward

Summary
After taking down Hassan after the events of the MWII, the 141 decided to stick around Mexico to help Alejandro and Rudy clear out some of the cartels there. During one of their jobs, they discover some concerning information about people seemingly going missing without a trace. As they begin to investigate further, the tangled web of evil and secrets sends them on a globetrotting mission in order to find out what sinister things are truly happening.
Six months coming off their newly-found but hesitant teamwork back in Las Almas, Soap and Ghost have settled themselves into an easy partnership, but as they continue to spend more time together, Soap begins to have thoughts that are definitely not appropriate to have about his Lieutenant. Ghost, struggling with his repressed trauma, had convinced himself long ago that love could never be for him, but he struggles to understand why there is something different about Soap. The two of them try to navigate this complicated, mutual attraction as they become closer and closer every day throughout their investigation. In theory, the idea of not killing Ghost— of keeping him alive, taking him back to the base and torturing all the information they could get out of him was a good one. However, in practice, the issue became more complicated.
