Harry is back in a hospital room after an Auror sting gone wrong and nobody is amused at this point. It's starting to become somewhat of a familiar scene for Ron and Hermione. This time his healer is one Draco Malfoy so it's actually a /little/ funny when something goes wrong during recovery.

Summary
Draco Malfoy had long since come to terms with the fact that life was unfair.
He had come to terms with it when, at the tender age of one, his dear Aunt Bellatrix had given him a gift — which turned out to be a colorblindness curse, because she thought it would be “funny” for him to see the world the way she did.
He had come to terms with it when his father dismissed his lack of color vision as “an excellent way to focus on more important things than frivolous aesthetics” (a statement which Lucius would later contradict by being absolutely livid when Draco failed to coordinate his dress robes properly for an important gala).
And he had especially come to terms with it when, time and time again, he heard people wax poetic about Potter’s brilliant green eyes — which, as far as Draco could tell, were just as gray as everything else.
Seriously, what was the big deal?
But life, as he knew, was unfair. Which was why, in his Eighth Year at Hogwarts, surrounded by former enemies who had somehow turned into friends (a whole other mess he was still figuring out), his deepest, most humiliating secret was about to be exposed.
And it was going to be Ron Weasley’s fault.

Summary
When Harry took his first holiday in years, he decided to spend it house sitting Ron and Hermione’s flat in a Muggle part of London. It should have been easy enough - minding their plants, their Kneazle and their cat - and it would have been, if Harry hadn't seen someone blacking out in the flat opposite on his first day.
Of course, it was just his luck that the man in the other flat turned out to be none other than Draco Malfoy, Assistant Hotel Manager. Of a very Muggle hotel. Which also happened to serve the best cake. Ever.
And then there was this group called Counter-Curse, which was desperately trying to get Harry's attention as well.

Summary
After an unfortunate accident which, aided by a foolish plan, leads to another unfortunate incident, Draco Malfoy is left to deal with the results and must at the same time try to sort out himself and his life.
This is set in an AU world where Draco, after getting his task from Voldemort in sixth year, goes to Dumbledore for help. He then actively helps Dumbledore and his side, spending the holidays at Grimmauld Place because his parents rejected him, and Harry kills Voldemort at the end of his sixth year. Draco then spends his seventh year being ignored by most everyone; the Slytherins because he is a 'traitor' and everyone else because, well, he's Draco Malfoy.
This is the story of him after school, beginning at the end of seventh year, and his trying to find his own path, to build his own life without trying to wipe out the past, but dealing with it.

Harry might be forgiven for never realizing his birthmark was actually a soulmark. They're supposed to be uncommon, and his two best friends already sport one each. He's glad not to be the one with the weird stuff to handle for once, too.
So of course his birthmark starts acquiring a shape right before the Quidditch World Cup, and then there's the sordid affair of the Triwizard Tournament and this Durmstrang git has made it his mission in life to make him blush at every turn.
Quite frankly, Harry's not sure he can handle Draco Malfoy for a whole year.
