There was a pause. Then, quietly, Davetrap mumbled, “Shit. I don’t want ya ta drink bleach.”
(Surprising.)
“See? So you need to take a bath. That way, I can scrub out all the mold, and neither of us have to drink bleach. Alright?”

Maybe if he had been a magician, things could’ve been different.
He would’ve still worked at Henry’s circus, perhaps. He’d be one of the stars of the show, balancing on top of those colorful balls and pulling (fittingly) rabbits out of a purple top hat with a pink bow around it. The crowd would cheer and applaud, and one day you would take Dee there and see him. You two would talk. He’d see Henry’s flaws for what they were. You’d beat the man’s head in with a baseball bat, given the opportunity, and then you and Dave and your family would run off and live a new life. A life where the thought of Dave sprawled on your chest, sleeping without tension for once, didn’t make you want to start burning your throat with bleach or bourbon. Whichever was nearer. It didn’t matter.
None of your wishes mattered.
Or: five ways Dave could've been something, and one way where Jack was more than enough.

Summary
Tension between Dave and Jack was noticeable… VERY noticeable. It shouldn’t have been hard for the purple guy to suggest his feelings elsewhere than Jack, yet it was. How could he when he was always so hyper focused on the others moves?
Or, Dave and Jack got some obvious tension and decide to make a ‘little’ bet that leads to a good ‘head’ filling.

He saw the way Jack's smile showed off the tooth gap that he loved. He loved each wrinkle on his face, and every freckle. The way only one side of his smile formed a dimple. He loved him more than life itself, and now he was losing him again. Forever this time.
Rewrite of the DSAF 3 good ending but its gayer and sadder.

It was a marriage certificate, all right. Dated from last night, from a chapel right on the Las Vegas Strip. On the paper, both of their names were sloppily handwritten on the respective lines in a drunken attempt at a signature.

Dave and Jack finally get freed of their contract at Freddy's and go to Vegas. Dave promises he'll make it a night to remember, but Jack is way ahead of him.
I just really enjoy DSAF and wanted to do something in the Dayshift at Freddy's universe. I like their lighter more irreverent and chaotic tone and tried to bring a little of that in, combined with the more visceral emotional stuff that I love. Excellent series, excellent characters, I just wish I could do them more justice!
