Summary
Damian Wayne sits atop a building, watching the city bustle below him. Headlights from cars shine through the fog that settled once the rain finally stopped after three consecutive days of it falling in sheets. It has been four years since Richard Grayson had died, and Timothy Jackson Drake disappeared into thin air. It was a lead on Tim that they were checking out. Dick was still struggling to get used to being Batman, but working with him as Robin felt natural for Damian. Then all of the sudden, they were pinned down by Joker’s men. They had new guns, and Dick got hit before Damian could do anything. He managed to take them down, but by then it was too late.
Dick died before they ever reached the hospital, and they didn’t find Tim either. The lead fizzled out into nothing.

Unsure of what he saw exactly and with Damian experiencing a relapse on his 'perfect soldier' programming, all the bat siblings take the decision of turning to the one person they know will help Damian feel like a kid again: his best friend, Jon Kent.

Damian's hoodie hung loosely from his frame, the G.U logo faded to hell. Wayne's effortless, picture perfect smile looked back at him. Wayne's suit was polished and clearly tailored; he oozed wealth and opulence from every pore.

Chapter 45: It's not only the S on your chest
“I'm fine,” Jon replied, turning back with his arms hanging at his sides to stare at the wall. The hole in front of him was jagged, large chunks of ice had fallen at his feet and cracked the floor, and Jon lowered his eyes to see his reflection staring back at him, completely distorted and broken, and that was exactly how he felt. But he couldn't admit it. If he broke down, then the possibility of helping Damian would break down with him.
“Liar.” One word that made Jon turn around again, his eyes widening in confusion. Kon took a step toward him, moving with such care that it seemed calculated not to put too much weight on the ground, and stopped inches from his face. The seriousness had not left his expression. “You don't have to keep it all inside.”
“I'm doing what's right.”
“You're doing what even Damian would tell you not to do,” Kon stated, and Jon felt the weight of guilt settle even more heavily upon his heart. “You're destroying yourself.”
