Summary
William knows he was born for one purpose: to receive his six lives and bring about the rule of the Devils of Orange-Nassau. But it takes a lot to make someone believe that, and much more to make them want it. So, how did William get to that point? What brought him to where he is now, in the main story? What was his first life like and what led up to its untimely end? I hope to answer these questions here ◉‿◉
The title comes from the old song "Dona Dona," about a calf being led to slaughter. There are many good covers out there, but the English one where I drew inspiration from is by Joan Baez.

This is a new side story I'm trying out for Six Lives! Anne (Stewart) has a lot of things going on in the story, but I feel like it's impossible to fit them in and portray them as accurately as I'm thinking because the main POVs are all of her antagonists. So she gets her own side series! It'll be mostly in between main chapters, and very short compared to what I usually do, just to show what she's doing meanwhile-- it should be less than 10k words, and if it's more someone can hit me on the head with a baton.
So-- how does Anne come to question the authority of her father and the Overlifers in general? How does she act on this?

Summary
I put 17th century historical figures in the largest and most meticulous world I have ever created! In the beautiful and noble city of New Amsterdam, William leads the ancient organization of the Defenders of the Faith, which seeks to restore the authority of six-lived humans all over the world, called Overlifers. With his remaining five lives, he'll do whatever it takes to bring himself to power.
At his side is famous religious leader Hans William Bentinck, known as an Ally, for with his powers he brings to humanity the voices of the ancient worshipped devils. If you asked him, of course he hates the Overlifer terrorists! They're a threat to La Divina Republica de los Altos Diablos...but then, you have to wonder why he hangs around their suspected leader so much. He wonders, too.
On the other side of the conflict is Mary Stewart, beloved assassin and heir of the rival Disciples of Restoration, yet another ancient terrorist group. Her Overlifer father stands to inherit the rule over humanity one day, and she knows, however afraid she might be, that she'll do anything to see him on that throne. Right, Mary? We've never had reason to doubt you.

Summary
