Summary
Wilbur Soot, Private Detective, has gotten into plenty of bad situations, but this one leaves him bleeding in an alleyway with no idea who he can call for help.
Help does come but in the form of one of the most dangerous crime bosses in the city. Wilbur expects Philza to tell him that he's indebted to him now and for his whole life to be ruined, but that isn't quite the case. Because it's Philza who claims he owes a debt to Wilbur.

Wilbur stills. Too late does Tommy realize his mistake.
“Tommy, what the fuck happened to your face?”
He pales as realization spreads across Phil and Techno’s expressions as well.
“Tommy,” Wilbur moves his hand from Tommy’s wrist to gently touch his face instead. “Who did this to you?”

Summary
He's fucked up and he didn't even get time to think of anything.
Before he can let his panic rise, he sees movement at the corner of his eye. Hands getting too close to his neck.
Instinctively, Tommy smacks the hand away and clutches at his chest where the emerald necklace still sits, hidden under his shirt but it's likely the pirate saw the golden chain around his neck.
Tommy doesn't care if the pirate is, well, a pirate. Who killed an entire group of men. There is no way he's touching Tommy's necklace. The boy would rather die. Or bite. Either way is fine by him.
Tommy turns away, snarling at the man like an animal. It usually wards people off and most back away or run. But this man only looks surprised for a second before he huffs and his expression drops into a much softer look.
Tommy didn't expect that either.
But instead of doing anything Tommy expected, such as get angry at Tommy, ask where the gold was or try and steal Tommy's necklace again. The man reaches for his own neck where he pulls out a golden chain.
With an emerald at the end.
Or
Tommy is on a merchant ship that's gets attacked by pirates.

Summary
He's frozen and can't help but stare wide eyed at the bin held in his older brother's hands. And when he meets his eyes, he knows he knows.
"Tommy… I… are you..?" Wilbur can't speak through his shock, not knowing the right words to say. It takes a lot to make him speechless but knowing his brother has a rare and deadly disease wrapping around his lungs, it causes him to panic.
Tommy meanwhile takes a step back. His lungs burn, they feel like fire encased it in an inferno. He feels the familiar trickle of a cough and can't stop it as he hackles.
He coughs and retches and he feels something light and fluffy crawl up his throat until it's spat out onto his palms.
White fluff flies from his mouth and falls to the floor. Little seed-like pieces with fluff attached to them mixing in his own blood stains his hands.
Aspen flowers.
The flower that represents fear.
He's scared, Tommy is scared.
Or
Tommy has Hanahaki and is home alone dealing with it until his very drunk brother comes home, looking for cuddles and love.

Summary
So, Tommy was pretty sure he was in a video game.
How he came to that conclusion, you might ask?
Oh, well, you know, he just went to sleep one night in the bedroom he shared with the two other kids at his latest foster home, clutching Henry to his chest and trying to ignore the snores from the bed across the room – and then woke up somewhere else. In an alley. A fucking dirty alley overflowing with trash, he might add. He was pretty sure he’d even heard rats scattering around somewhere. It also had been winter, the morning air cold and quickly seeping through his thin pyjama. The only other thing he’d had with him were Henry and his blanket, laying on the ground.
You know, just your typical Tuesday.
OR
Tommy wakes up in a world where the new video game everyone is talking about is *very* real. That includes the three main villains, heads of an organization called ‘The Syndicate’. But it’s totally fine! He just has to make sure he never meets them – he’s got a feeling they won’t be pleased about another crow hybrid in an otherwise hybrid-less world.

In hindsight, Wilbur knew he was being unfair, but at this point, he had to stand his ground. Weeks passed and tensions in the house remained high, and it was all Wilbur’s fault.
Bathroom. Now, the text from Technoblade read. Wilbur ignored it, turning his phone over and continuing to play the guitar. This peace didn’t last very long, Technoblade taking this as a sign to begin spamming Wilbur’s phone, a new notification coming in every second. So, huffing a bit, Wilbur made his way to the bathroom and gaped at the sight.

“Don’t tell Wilbur,” Tommy begged Technoblade.
“You and I both know that I’m going to,” Technoblade remarked. “What happened to you?”
“It’s nothing. I’m handling it. But, please? Just let me deal with this.”
“Wilbur’s going to kill me.”
“I’ll kill you if you tell him, so. Make your choice.”
Techno stared at Tommy, saying nothing, but contemplating his options. Then, he heaved a heavy sigh. “I’m giving you one week to figure it out. If not, I’m telling Phil and I’m telling Wilbur. Do you understand?”

Summary
Tommy could heal Phil, that was no issue. The issue lay in Tommy surviving. He still felt weak from healing Techno’s stab wound from the day before, and even weaker from Wilbur’s gunshot wound the day before that. Realistically, Tommy couldn’t heal Phil in a way that would save him, not without Tommy dying.
Techno started yelling.
“Fix him, Theseus! He’s dying. Do what you’re good at! This is the only thing you’re good for!”
OR
TommyInnit is a healer. Phil is gravely injured. Angst ensues!

The coughing fit comes on so suddenly that he doesn’t even have a chance to take a step back, let alone run, and he doubles over, pressing his face into his elbow and grasping helplessly at the railing as pain lances through his chest. His own pitiful whine reaches his ears, strung out between violent coughs. Tears drip down his cheeks, forced out with the convulsions wracking his body.
A single, perfect camellia falls to the porch with a wet smack, and Tommy shudders as he tries to catch his breath. It stares back at him, the same colour as Techno’s hair, laid innocently on the wood. It’s dripping blood.

Summary
Phil loved each and every one of his children, regardless of whether or not they were a hybrid. Wilbur was no different to this love. He fit right in, and Phil loved him the same as he loved his other two sons. He fit in perfectly and understood them all so well, which is why it ate Phil up so much that he couldn’t say the same back.
Alternatively: Wilbur's upset, SBI doesn't understand humans, gets reality check, and then decides their idea is better than the recommended idea. They're right. It is a better idea.
