BB’s characterization was so well-done. I loved how deeply the fic delved into his psyche and what made him lose his mind. And that last conversation between BB and L!! Ah!! So suspenseful and sad.

Outwardly, Light was the epitome of innocence, the perfect student, the perfect son, and the perfect gentleman. To most people, Light was simply too successful, respected, and attractive to be capable of wrongdoing. Outward appearances dictated Light as someone entirely different from L, and yet, there was something eerily familiar about Light Yagami, something that screamed there was more going on with the boy. Something that told L he wasn’t wrong in his suspicions with every passing day even when they weren’t confirmed.
Perhaps it was lucky then, that Light and L shared a class on philosophy. Luckier that Light decided today was the day to step through the threshold of the door L left open, to start rifling through the mess that was morality.
“Have you heard about the trolley problem, Ryuga?” Light asked, even though both of them knew by now that it wasn’t going to be easy to get straightforward answers.

Kira had the perfect plan to fool the task force, prove his innocence and get rid of L once and for all. There's only one person's interference he didn't account for, and that's his own. Light Yagami is no fool, and he isn't about to play into anyone's hands - not even his own.

Literally kept me up till 3:00 AM because it was so well-written, emotional, and compelling. Mnemosyne_Elegly explored all the nuances of Barok’s depression while keeping him perfectly in character, and I loved every second of it.
