Summary
A graduation party Mike never planned on attending becomes the night that suddenly breaks him. When Will confesses feelings he won’t remember in the morning, Mike is left holding a fragile truth he never asked for and can’t give back. As Will moves forward, unaware, Mike stays trapped in the shadow of the confession, wrestling with his feelings for Will and the part of himself he’s always been afraid to uncover. This leaves them to navigate the space between what’s been said, what’s been forgotten, and the weight of years filled with painfully unspoken feelings.

Summary
"Shit, sorry,” the boy mutters, already crouching down to pick up his books. When he straightens back up and takes out his headphones, Will is able to get a better look at the person standing in front of him. He’s maybe 4 inches taller, with deep chocolate eyes and a freckle-covered face.
A voice snaps him out of his thoughts, “I’m Mike. Mike Wheeler.”
Will just stares at him in awe, trying to shake off the feeling of butterflies in his stomach. His palms feel weirdly sweaty.
“I’m Will,” he manages to get out, “Will Byers.”
“Cool…” Mike says, studying him for a second longer than seems necessary. “Well, see you around.”
“See you...” Will mutters as Mike walks away.
OR:

Mike gives a one-shouldered shrug. “Hurts.”
Will brushes his thumb along the side of his neck, frowning sympathetically. He’s being so tough about it. “Do you want me to get you a cough drop?”

Summary
In all of his twenty years of existence–Mike can admittedly own up to the fact that he's never been a coffee type of guy. The bitterness that settled on his tongue, the way he burnt his mouth several times in all of his sorry attempts to counter its hot temperature, and not to mention the constant association it had with his father, who was a certified caffeine addict–suffice it to say, him and coffee never melded well together.
Or so he thought.
TLDR; Mike was swamped—rushing through deadlines, weighed down by a pounding headache and a relentless cold, running on caffeine and barely any sleep. Luckily for him, Will knows exactly how to take care of him.

“It’s nine in the morning,” Eddie said.
Steve shrugged. “And it’s hot. There a law against eating popsicles before noon that I don’t know about?”
“It’s nine in the morning,” Eddie repeated, sounding aggrieved. “It’s way too fucking early for this.”

It’s probably going to go down in history as the worst kiss Steve Harrington ever got, but Eddie doesn’t give a fuck. He isn’t going to get another chance so he’s working with what he’s got. It’s less of a kiss, and more of a slide of lips, wet with blood and tears but he feels Harrington’s grip tighten on the back of his shirt and he pulls back. He reaches up with the hand he can still feel and pushes back a strand of hair that had fallen in Steve’s face, smearing blood along his temple as he does.
