It was just. Too coincidental for Starscream not to be suspicious. Megatron announces his plans for an inter-faction tournament, an idea, he claims, came to him only after hearing the Construction's reports on the renovation of the Pits a few days prior. One that definitely had nothing to do with a certain argument he had with Starscream that happened the previous day.
Right. Sure.
But Starscream could overlook all of that - albeit with a healthy dose of skepticism and doubt - if it weren’t for the victor’s reward.
Or,
On a Decepticon-ruled Cybertron, Megatron decides to host faction-wide tournament with a rather heavy-stakes prize on the line. Starscream is not too keen on this idea for several reasons.

Absolutely incredible! From the detailed worldbuilding to the unsuspecting shifts and flows of the plot, the author did an incredible job in their story. If they made slight modifications to avoid copyrights from Hasbro, I could definitely see this fic becoming a real novel. Simply amazing!
