Summary

He's stuffed in the corner and wants to fucking die.
Around him, much, much older teenagers all drink, dance, and fuck to their hearts content. Lucerys feels as though he's not supposed to be here, can't be here. If his mom were to know he was at a party like this, she'd surely throw a fit and he'd be grounded for an entire month.
He tries to distract himself by mindlessly scrolling through his phone but it's hard to keep his head as the sounds of moaning, ear shattering music, and cheers come from all around him.
He's never been to a party before, much less one so…vulgar and perverted. God, if he knew it was gonna be like this, he would've told Aemond and Aegon to shove their invitations up their stupid, smug, hard-headed asses.
Lucerys glares at his screen, sipping at some of the fruit punch he had gotten for himself and he contemplates just calling Jacaerys to come pick him up.

Aemond catches a glimpse of Lucerys flying upwards before he could tame his dragon. The boy was frantic, unable to notice the lightning poised to strike in his direction. "Lucerys!" His throat manages to call out before the blurred image of his nephew falling from his dragonback unfolds in front of him.

The Dance of the Dragons begins not with a death but with indecision. Lord Borros is not so quickly persuaded into war worrying about the right decision in the long run and this changes everything.
Luke and Aemond both stay in Storm’s End with hopes of getting the Lord to declare for their side, but with the return of their rivalry comes feelings they haven’t felt since their youth: inadequacy, jealousy, and something entirely new that makes trying to start a war the least of their problems.
