Their colleagues at the LAPD always theorize in hushed whispers that he was abused as a child, that his back is covered in the kind of scars left by a belt.
As Chloe grows closer to Lucifer, she suspects that it’s much worse than that. She’s right.

Pierce is dead, Lucifer's the devil, and Chloe needs an explanation for a crime scene that involves copious amounts of angel feathers--fast. Everything is a mess, even before she learns she's a miracle. Add in a bitchy IA detective using the threat of a criminal investigation to manipulate her into an uncomfortable undercover op and the looming specter of the criminal organization her ex-fiance left behind, and Chloe could really use a partner. She used to have one of those, right? So, yeah, maybe a deal with the devil is in order...
Picks up immediately after 3x24 and answers the question, "What if Chloe and Lucifer just talked? Like, A Lot."

She runs a little flower shop in a village so small it doesn’t have a name.
Her life may be average, but she loves it anyway. Loves her frequent customers, who make small talk with her before buying a bouquet. It's for my wife, they'll whisper conspiratorially, It’s our anniversary today. Or maybe it’s a funeral- another family member seems to pass every week. Regardless of the occasion, she loves hearing their stories, watching their eyes regard her flowers with admiration.
She loves Trixie, her adorable 6-year-old. She watches her flit from aisle to aisle, making conversation with customers who amusedly entertain her as she tells the story of her latest prank. She pretends to look away when Trix looks from the left to the right, hoping her mom isn’t watching as she holds the stem of a rose and acts out a scene from her favorite movie.
She loves her perfect, average life just as it is, and wouldn’t change anything about it.
That is, until King Lucifer opens the door to her shop, and changes it forever.
