There was some little prick at the bar who was looking at him. White hair half-slicked back, fine-boned hand wrapped around a beer. Razor features. Snakebite piercings. Wrapped up in a long leather coat. When Ripper made eye contact with him, the thin mouth turned up into a little sneer, and then there was a pink flash as the tongue stroked provocatively over the line of the sharp teeth inside.
Ripper grinned back at him, because — well, what was the harm?

... It's a duck.
There's just a tiny bit of magic floating around after Willow ends the Will be Done spell, and it turns the resident captive vampire into a duckling. And he's so adorably angry about it. Question is now... who's going to take care of duckling!Spike? Oh, it's Buffy, of course.
But Spike being a duck doesn't mean everything else goes away. He's got a new perspective, and over time, so does Buffy. Changes to Season 4 grow as time goes on.
I'm sure someone's written something like this before, but I got the idea and here we are. The plot also started to happen, and now I can't stop it.

So Giles decides it’s time to conquer one last dream of his and become a grocer in a small farm shop in the English countryside. Gentle shenanigans ensue.
