Summary
In another universe where soulmates exist and are identified by marks in the form of whatever injury your partner has- Chuuya Nakahara is about to turn 16, and his best friend Dazai has been endlessly teasing him over the prospect of a mark. However, when he wakes up on his birthday covered in light blue lines he is unsure what to do, or how to approach identifying his soulmate, and his best friend has been acting in increasingly concerning ways since being told about the marks.

Summary
“You died. That’s what happened.”
In slow motion, Dazai looked up from his wrist—hand frozen in midair where he picked at the layers of bandages—and at Chuuya with interest. His arm fell to his side, and he let out a laugh. Without seeing his expression, he sounded genuinely amused. Like he had just heard the funniest joke. But before Chuuya was the look of a boy lost and unsure of himself who laughed away a reality that could one day be his.
“…I died, huh?” Dazai murmured to himself, appearing lost in thought. “I still find all this hard to believe, but you have to understand why, don’t you? I’m drifting through the city looking for a place to call home, I have no roots, I barely care about the mafia, and you speak so confidently that I’ll assassinate the boss and take over in a few years.”
Chuuya couldn't accept that the Dazai he knew had died. He was there one day, then gone the next. All Chuuya has of them and as proof that they once existed together is a photo dated 30/05 on the back. This is not the same Dazai in front of him now, but it's someone Chuuya refuses to lose again now knowing what awaits them in the future.

Summary
Inspired by the song "Andrew in Drag" by the Magnetic Fields.
Both Chuuya and Dazai are in college, both in art school. Sharing a dorm as complete strangers.
Chuuya is filled to the brim with determination and valve, despite what people say about choosing art as a career, he knows what he wants in life, and he won't allow the opinions of others to bring him down.
Meanwhile Dazai just chose what he assumed would be the easiest to keep himself occupied.
But turns out, when you can't imagine things in your head, it's difficult to create things too (Aphantasia).
Nevertheless it hurts his ego a little. Especially seeing Chuuya thrive at something he can't. Spawning a rivalry between them in his own mind.

Summary
Chuuya never believed in yokai, demons and other paranormal stuff. It went against every scientific fact he had learned throughout his entire life and every one of his beliefs as a passionate of physics.
Everything that has to do with supernatural forces is devoid of logic, you can't explain it with science and therefore — is impossible. Nonexistent.
Demons do not exist. End of story.
OR,
Chuuya's stuck with demonzai. What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
Dazai read the way some people ate, like it could fill him up with something. Like it could drown something out. At least it made for a better hobby than running back and forth across a field all day.
After a series of overly harsh opinion pieces in their high school newspaper Dazai finds himself banished to the sports column. Reason enough to quit for a bookworm like him that has absolutely no interest in the idiotic past times of so-called jocks. That is, until he has a certain run in with the team's wide receiver and school celebrity Chuuya Nakahara. With his heart, but more importantly his most precious physical item, stolen at first glance, he'll be forced to come back for more.
It's a romance novel. It's a teen comedy. It's that one direction fic that haunts your subconscious memory. But most importantly, it's about love.

“I like what we have,” Chuuya said, releasing more of his scent with each stroke. His fingers wandered, grazing the bandages around Dazai’s neck, and Dazai leaned closer, wanting more.
It wouldn’t end well. It never had.
They weren’t meant to belong.

“Before!” Yosano yelled, suddenly livid with anger and something else she couldn’t quite name. Paying no mind to the dirty glances with which they were assaulted, she continued, “I don’t think any child is born just wanting to die.” Dazai moved to interrupt, but was abruptly stopped before any words left his mouth. “What, who hurt you so bad that all you can think to care about is throwing yourself off a building? Why do you do everything in your power to destroy good things before they can even manifest?”
His face remained blank, a look that could be misconstrued for stoic, but was in earnest, just another wall.
“No one hurt me,” he started, “no one.”
Denial.
She recognized that voice.
It was like déjà vu as once again, the man who was only degrees away from a stranger sounded so uncomfortably familiar. So uncomfortably like herself, who she once was.

A dark glint overtook Dazai’s suddenly hollowed eyes.
Chūya wasn’t expecting to see this side of his ex-partner.
“Everything is a calculated, conscious decision.”

Blood boiled as Chūya felt fury sneak up into is chest. It’s not that he wanted to defend Mori per se, but he wanted to understand how such a good leader could hurt people—children—like Yosano and Dazai without remorse. Without some mental instability. Without being sick.
Because being sick wasn’t an excuse, but a reason. A context.
And he could live with that.
