Summary
The infected and followers of Satan have all been extinguished. Monsters are a rarity and the world seems to teeter on the thin line of peace. The world has rebuilt itself after the night of chaos and death, and life has returned to some sort of normality with people having long since returned to work and running through the daily routine of life. The Prince of Darkness, however, has been cooped up in his Castle, slowly falling between the lines of reality and memory as he looses his grip on his own mind. What will the finding of a chest amongst the rubble do for his sanity? Perhaps a revelation is what he needs in order to regain his grip on the reality of the world.

“It–it was a lovely dance, if that matters, I thought your legs looked wonderful flapping about–” Azira made an unintentionally hilarious gesture miming how Crowley had moved back then. “–very graceful, all things considered.”
“All things conssssidered?!” Crowley leapt from the couch in a display much more graceful than Azira’s awkward flailing. “My feet were burning, angel! Or have you forgotten that demons aren’t allowed on consssecrated ground!”

Summary
Crowley’s movements were fluid and his eyes perpetually hidden and so someone less accustomed to his company wasn’t very likely at all to see the subtle changes. The way he would shift his weight more often, the subtle clenching of his jaw when he put too much weight one way or the other. An occasional very quiet hiss. Easily missed if you weren’t aware your company was prone to making such a sound.
Aziraphale was very aware of all of these things. This was why he was also very aware that since a very memorable night in the 1940s the demon he kept company with had never quite walked the same.
