Kevin is used to pain. Used to the burn in his lungs, the ache in his shoulders, the sharp bite of muscles pushed past what they were ever meant to endure. Pain is familiar. Pain is controllable. Pain is the price of excellence Kevin has always paid without hesitation.
But this pain was another beast. It isn’t the clean pain of impact or the manageable throb of overuse. This pain was bright, blinding, catastrophic. It’s a lightning strike that starts in his lower back and radiates outward. Down his legs. Up his neck. Sharp enough to steal his thoughts.

Reborn's having some trouble getting Tsuna to draw out his sky flames, despite all his best efforts. When he lets Timoteo in on this particular problem, Timoteo decides that the best thing is to send a cloud to Namimori to bond with Tsuna. Perhaps a full guardianship will be enough to draw out the boy's sky flames.
Reborn isn't the least bit surprised when that plan falls apart.

“Oi ....” A hand lands on Lu Guang’s hip, palm flat and warm. Cheng Xiaoshi leans in, nudging at his nape with his nose. “You look like you just fought a war and lost.”
“...You were the one—” Lu Guang tries, but his voice cracks halfway.
Cheng Xiaoshi grins behind him. “Oh? He speaks.”
Lu Guang shuts his eyes. Tight. His thighs twitch, and Cheng Xiaoshi feels it—of course he does. The way he chuckles low means he’s not sorry. At least not fully.
“...You okay?” Cheng Xiaoshi finally asks it, quieter this time. Fingers slowing on his waist, no longer teasing. Just there. Just real.
Lu Guang doesn’t nod, but his breathing evens. One side of his face rubs lightly against the pillowcase.
There’s stickiness still between his thighs from the leftover heat that makes his body feel too full. Cheng Xiaoshi sighs like he knows what needs doing.
“Don’t move,” he murmurs. Then shifts off the bed.
Lu Guang stays, of course. He wouldn’t be able to sit up even if he wanted to. Not with the way his spine feels like melting glass.

He’s distantly aware that he stumbles at this, legs abruptly going numb and nearly sending him to the ground were it not for the grip Portgas has on him.

Luffy gasps delightedly, head wiping around to stare up at Whitebeard with wide, excited eyes. “Ace tried to kill you too?!” he shouts. Behind him, the party doesn’t necessarily stop so much as pause, focusing in on the growing spectacle before them. Oblivious, Luffy continues on. “How long?”
Whitebeard looks down at the young pirate captain that’s practically vibrating in place. Then he looks to the blond revolutionary that is also staring up at him, gaze considering and keen. Then to his second division commander who now has his face in his hands, ears red where they poke out of his hair. Finally, he glances at the rest of his children, out of loop and confused, yet intrigued, nonetheless.

Megumi blinks open his eyes. Assaulted with the bright white of a hospital room, he almost wishes he hadn’t, but nonetheless turns his gaze to whoever is with him. A big burly man, hair so red that Megumi assumes it’s dyed, stands before him, young but skin dug into with frown lines and faint stress wrinkles. Megumi half jokes to himself that the man might be worse off than Nanami.
He opens his mouth to speak, the question of what happened and where Gojo is on the tip of his tongue. Only when he attempts to voice his words, nonsensical babbling replaces his speech and Megumi wants to scream.
OR: Fushiguro Megumi dies at the hands of his mentor inorder to prevent the King of Curses - Ryoumen Sukuna - from destroying and enslaving the world.
He is reborn as Todoroki Shouto, son and number 1 hater of Endeavor, wondering why he couldn’t just die in peace.
