Albus Dumbledore was a manipulative old coot and Harry Potter is just sad he didn't realise it sooner, so he could have hung the man by his beard himself.
With the Daily Prophet slandering Harry's name once again - calling him the next Dark Lord of all things! - Harry sets out to find a new purpose for his life. He no longer wishes to be an auror and he wishes to go somewhere else, to a place where no one knows the name 'Harry Potter.' He no longer sees himself with Ginny - having messy, red-haired children. Instead, Harry finds himself a new purpose within his old purpose and sets off to 1944. Unfortunately, he may have gotten the timing a little off. No biggie! He'll make new plans as he goes along. Time and space is a fickle thing. The fabric between realities was delicate, yet reincarnation into another world- much less taking the place of an actual living person- was exceedingly rare and unheard of. They say life is no bed of roses, and Izuku will continue to firmly stick to that saying if only to anger his friend with never-ending plant puns- and no he's not letting that go.
Or someone who knows nothing about My Hero Academia ends up in a random kid's body after what should have been a fatal accident- with no memories of their previous life and even less knowledge about this strange new one. (And apparently he can control flowers now? Whatever, at least he can use magic like these other sweaty brats.)
With no concept of what is 'canon', he proceeds to unknowingly fuck up the timeline by befriending Izuku and crashing the car that is said canon, into a ravine.
Male SI/OC with canon divergence because MC is a spiteful little emo kid.

“Have you ever been trapped somewhere Halley?” he asked, as he walked around the girl. He knew her eyes were on him and it made Tom feel powerful, like he hadn’t felt in a long while. “And no matter what you do, you can’t be free.”
“It’s torturous, isn’t it?” he asked.
Halley didn’t know what to say. This was a new kind of behaviour, one that she didn’t know how to deal with. The closest she’d come to seeing it was with Dumbledore; placing himself above the conversation by stating all these questions that she was never going to get an answer to.
“I’ve waited an incredibly long time to escape.”
“Is that why you made her open the Chamber?” Halley asked.

“Draco Blackert?” A pause, dark red eyes assessing. “Why, I haven’t heard the name Blackert since I was last in Germany…”, another pause, a delicate smile, as he leaned in conspiratorially, his eyes flashing crimson, almost breathless, he continued “I haven’t heard the name Draco Blackert since the disgraceful fall of the Lieutenant of Lord Grindelwald in ’48, the last failed uprising after his Lord’s defeat .”
But Harry knew his story, he knew the 44-year-old man’s skin he wore as well as his own, as well as so many others, and so he responded as Draco Blackert, and not Harry Potter, the name of a child that wouldn’t be conceived for another 12 years.
