Summary
It was a new world Jynn found herself waking up to, so much had changed within those 20 years of experimentation and imprisonment in that suit. She was thankful to be free of that hell but hesitant to take on the roll she found herself thrusted back into. Commander of XCOM, a mere memory of what it once was. They had a lot on their plate, build up the resistance, sabotage ADVENT and the aliens, and take back the Earth from the Elders.
It was no help that the Elders wanted her back badly. Hunting them down like a pack of wild dogs, undermining their cause at every turn. And then those Chosen, another layer of annoyance XCOM and the Resistance had to deal with. Just how integral was she to Their to their Psionic Network? Was there something more? -

New York City was saved. Blackwatch could take care of what remained. Alex felt it was best to leave. His work was done there and he just needed to... disappear. Find himself. Where he fit in the world. And maybe keep tabs on Blackwatch and find this Pariah.
So he traveled around the states for some time before traveling the world. Found things he liked. Found a lot he hated. Ah humanity. Such a mixed bag. Eventually everything lead him back home. Back to New York City. It was calling him. Unfinished business. How was all that hard work still holding up? How was his sister?
But there was something calling out to him. A voice in the back of his head. A rather dreadful one. "What was Blackwatch up to?" They still had a presence in the city. Looked like some of the virus was still festering. "What is humanity up to? Something else we have to correct?"
Slowly the voice grew more and more. And his memories became disjointed until finally... it happened again. Humanity was on the verge of a new era.
