Summary
Moira could feel the gravity around her change noticeably, which was one of the weirdest sensations she had ever felt (and she had done some weird things to herself in her experiments). Her lab coat tails were rapidly floating up again, almost at waist level. The ruined cart was also hovering well above the floor again, with its discarded vials falling into an uneasy orbit around it. She was more than a little concerned that she herself was going to start floating away if she didn’t calm him down five seconds ago.
“No no no no no no no,” De Kuiper was muttering under his breath softly, beginning to rock back and forth slowly, eyes unfocused, “Hold it together, hold it together…”

“Shut up,” Anya said with her nose turned up. “It’s not his fault you’re a huge nerd.”
Damian suspects that Anya Forger is capable of reading minds, and he sets out to prove it. Even if it makes him feel silly for even entertaining such an idea.

Though he is polite, intelligent, and honest to a fault, he matches pace with the rest of the Forgers in that there's a secret at the heart of his identity: he is an advanced android, designed and programmed to be the perfect child. He is still learning how to perform his functions within his fake family, with only his new little sister Anya aware of the syntax of his artificial intelligence... only she can see the mechanical heart on his sleeve. And just as she is benefitting from the example he is setting at home and in his own schooling (and finally having someone she can confide in about her powers), her new brother is learning more and more about the human condition with every day, every new directive, and every lie he has to file away about his family.

A Space Arc psychological thriller that turns into a bit of a mystery thriller towards the end. Plot oriented, suspenseful whump, not graphic but definitelly not for the faint of heart or someone who is easily triggered by dark themes.
