But that sounded a little bit creepy and stalkerish, so Tony would never admit it.

Summary
Loki is the God of Mischief and the God of Lies. He isn't to be trusted, and he isn't to be respected, either. Everyone knows that, Loki better than most. Yet he was part of the team that rescued the Asgardians, and he is staying with them, even though the grief and loss filling the spaceship physically pains him.
To make matters worse, somehow the Hulk seems to be interested in Loki now, and won't stop trying to catch his attention.
What can a God of Mischief do with that? He turns the Hulk back to Banner, of course.
Things seem to go be going downhill from there.
Or… Do they?

And then she dies, and Odin has no time for a child that only reminds him of the very thing he lost - he barely has time for his own young, grieving son.
So he locks it in the Vault, and calls it a trophy from the frozen realm.

All Loki knew for a long, long time were the four walls that held them, and the distorted view into the room beyond - filled with trinkets they couldn't name.

Life on Midgard is lonely and mind-numbingly boring, but he would choose it every time over the alternatives: life imprisonment in the dungeon, or, worse, another visit to Thanos’s Sanctuary.
It’s all going decently well until he runs into Clint Barton.
