They escaped Spain, but only just barely. By the end of those somehow only two nights, it was only because the three of them; Leon, Ashley, and Luis, had taken turns carrying each other out. But they were out. And Ashley was saved. And… now no one knows what to do with the other two remaining survivors. With Leon compromised and Luis’s knowledge too valuable to lose, they’ve been shoved off, buried in a cabin somewhere, partially by sway of an especially thankful and powerful parent, assigned the very loose task to serve on standby: one to study bioweapon outbreaks and the other to serve detail should either need ever arrive. But the problem is, nestled in that little cabin tucked in the mountains, is that the need has yet arrive. A Leon/Luis domestic slow burn.

Wolfwood chuckles to himself, but doesn’t push further. He draws away, and with it, Knives can finally breathe. The tension falls slack, and he slips a few inches on the bar stool. His hand drags his face to cover whatever terrible expression the alcohol prevents him from hiding.
This is exactly what Vash would want for him, isn’t it? A chance at an honest connection.
‘A friend,’ Vash had grinned, energy so very contrary to Nai’s insistent pout. ‘It couldn’t hurt, Nai. Give it a chance.’
Though he’s pretty sure the unspoken erection pressed up against his thigh leads them a little further than what a typical friendship would permit.
“One more round, then I’ll get the tab, boss. But after–” Wolfwood’s breath pitches lower. Hopeful. "Take me home will ya?"
