The peace came soft and blissful but anyone who kept aware could tell that it was only a lull. The might of Hermanubis was a temptation the Doctor found no qualm in reaching for when the body guarding it was merely human. The plan was simple, falling into place right on its own, because what a wonderful coincidence it was that Hermanubis once ruled over the Tighnarians and that the body hosting Hermanubis' spirit was in love with a Tighnarian descendant?
Hermanubis wouldn't harm a Valuka Shuna, surely. Cyno no doubt would never willingly harm Tighnari. Humans and deities alike were simple creatures, and like that Dottore ordered the first spark.

As he stared down at the still waters, save for the occasional ripple caused by the flutter of a bird who had dropped by for some much needed hydration, Tighnari’s eyes were drawn to an irregular shadow in the water. White and red, shifting like a mirage in the desert – Tighnari’s eyes widened. He gasped, springing forward with indescribable speed. His hands and knees were in the water as he hovered over the rippling reflection – “Cyno?”
The image in the water blurred and for a moment, Tighnari thought about breaking down into tears there and then. Was he losing it? Was the image of his lover going to disappear, revealing nothing but Tighnari’s own dirty, scratched up face back at him?
in a time where cyno had gone missing, declared to be killed in action, tighnari gives up everything to find him again, only to chance upon his reflection in the water.

Cyno never knew his past.
For all of the lifetime that the remembered, he had constantly been warned never to return to the Temple of Silence. Even though he had obeyed, he always had a feeling of hollowness within. No matter how many enemies he slaughtered, or sages he pleased, he would always feel like a shell of himself.
Suddenly, the opportunity had finally come. It seemed as if the sages had finally smiled upon him and presented him with a mission to return to the Temple in which he belonged.
But when breaking the news to his boyfriend, Tighnari, he was met with rejection. Tighnari didn't like the idea at all.
Despite his protests, Cyno went anyways.After all, this opportunity was a once in a lifetime chance, right?

Kaveh gets sick. Really sick. After being married for five years and finally having Kaveh's debt under control, the couple had hoped to move on from the past grievance and start a family together. Instead, Alhaitham has to come to terms with watching Kaveh die and Kaveh in return has to deal with his concern about how the grief for his husband will change the scribe after he is gone. Hopefully, Alhaitham will learn in time to control his misdirected anger and fulfil his vow to be there for Kaveh. In sickness and in health.

Inazuma - crazy bastards, they launched missiles, headed straight for the city. Ten minutes. I’m going to find Nari, be with him at the end. I-” click. The line cut out.
In the sudden silence, Alhaitham heard the terminals in the offices nearby shutting down too. Fuck.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Alhaitham took off sprinting, ignoring the panicked glances from scholars in the halls as he shoved past them without apology. None realized the true peril hurtling toward them from across Teyvat - and Alhaitham didn’t much care to warn them. He had to get home. Now.
If the world was ending, there was only one person he wanted by his side.

Summary
The General Mahamatra shows up bloody and barely able to stand outside of Candace's door in Aaru Village, while at the same time, the General Watchleader is found outside of the Palace Of Alcazarzaray, badly beaten and suffering from major electrical burns.
A broken hearted and extremely sleep deprived Cyno-already suffering from an extreme loss- explains to Candace and Dehya that Tighnari's drugged him, and the two of them got into a fight, leaving the other badly wounded.
Meanwhile, a confused Alhaitham and Kaveh struggle to understand why Cyno of all people would attack Tighnari, leaving him so battered and beaten he's feral.
Can Dehya and Haitham discover the truth before it's too late to save any of them or will it all be too late?
