“Don’t worry, I’ll do it,” Mike protests weakly, but Will ignores him. “You need to rest, yeah,” he continues softly, swallowing audibly at the thought of Will’s fingers on him again.
“I want to take care of—” Will mumbles, fumbling for gauze and bandages, his focus wavering. Mike notices the flush creeping up Will’s cheeks, bright and vivid against his otherwise pale, tired skin. And it warms something inside Mike, just a little, because Will wants to take care of him.

Summary
If he was going to turn into Vecna, he was taking his sweet time about it. Will’s back was starting to twinge from this awkward angle. You’d have thought vision-Mike would have been better at supporting Will’s back. Not that Will was complaining, but would this section of the vision ever end? Vecna was getting weirdly into the set-up.

On the hill, standing next to Mike, Will watches Hawkins burn and the world wither. Then Mike does something that cannot be anything other than one of these visions Nancy had warned them about. Either that or Will's having some wild and utterly inappropriate daydream.
Or, what will definitely happen in season 5 as it carries straight on from the last scene of season 4. Right?

William got to his feet and turned around, prayer book clutched to his chest. Michael was standing in the center of the chapel, obviously just come from sparring practice. He was still wearing his dented cuirass, a leather pauldron on his right shoulder. The moonlight through the stained-glass windows painted him in blue and gold.
“Forgot to leave your armor behind in the gymnasium?” asked William lightly, skirting around him to set the prayer book back in its tabernacle.
“Something like that,” said Michael. He stepped out of the shaft of light, joining William at the perimeter of the circular room.
William closed the ornate wooden door of the tabernacle and turned to face him. “How did you know I’d be here?”
“I know you,” Michael said simply. I love you, he might as well have said, for the way it sent William’s heart skittering inside his chest.
Michael has been betrothed to the princess since their infancy. But it’s her brother he really wants.

Will saw the moment his best friend realized that there was no stopping him. His breathing evened out a little more and his hands that were once frantically gesturing to get his point across were now slack at his side. The muscles in Lucas' face relaxed a little bit as his nerves calmed down and reality set in. Nothing he could possibly say would stop what the brunette was about to do.
"Be careful." Lucas yelled out at him, still shaken up and absolutely terrified.

Will shakily lifts his hand to wipe away the trickling blood from his nose, eyes finally meeting Mike’s.
Even from a distance Mike can tell his pupils are more blown than usual, nearly eclipsing the familiar hazel iris. But, he’s still Will.
Mike’s best friend, whose first instinct after unlocking cool powers was to look and make sure Mike was alright.
The world seems to swell with color, everything that faded to background coming back into focus all at once—pulsing with intensity.
Mike couldn’t breathe, air caught in his chest. He feels lightheaded, dizzy like he would pass out any second.
The moment breaks as Will sways forward, palms smacking against concrete, and Mike is over touching his back before even knowing he had moved.
In the aftermath of the Mac-Z, Mike is in awe of his best friend and feeling smug that his words gave Will the confidence to unlock his powers. Until he finds out it was Robin's speech that Will used and he starts to spiral, eventually realizing that maybe that fluttery feeling in his chest when Will looked at him wasn't completely platonic afterall.
