“What? You just what?” Leia presses her lips together for a brief moment before she drops his hand and walks right past him, their shoulders bumping rather harshly before she makes a beeline for the bed, stopping and beginning to pace anxiously in front of it.
She hears Han come in a couple seconds later, an audible sigh escaping his lips.
“Oh God, you’re pacing now?” Leia rolls her eyes at that, reaching up and rubbing her palms against her eyes while listening to her husband step forward. “Hey, take a deep breath and calm d-”
Leia nearly falls as she flinches then, jumping away from Han’s touch like she’d been electrocuted. Her calves hit the side of the bed and she manages to stop herself from losing balance, glancing up to meet Han’s confused face and outstretched hands frozen in the air between them, where her waist had been.
She sighs again, closing her eyes for a brief moment before deciding to sit down, bouncing slightly as the mattress moves beneath her.
“Han, I’m pregnant.”
(han and leia are going to be parents, and the universe is already after their son.)

You wake up to an empty bed.
Sure enough, Luke is sitting in the pilot’s seat, head in one hand, staring out the front window of the ship at open space. They’re still for the simulated night, frozen in one spot, the ship set on autopilot to keep them guarded and life systems operating.
Out the window, all there is to see are stars and colors. There are no planets close enough to see, and the stars are all unfamiliar, but it’s breathtaking all the same. Maybe even more wondrous for how mystical and otherworldly it all appears, especially in your half-awake state. Luke’s clearly lost looking out at it all, one hand wrapped around his mouth, holding his head up; the other metal hand tightly grips the arm of the pilot’s seat.
You drift up closely, setting a hand on his shoulder.

No matter what anyone says, Han was prepared for D-Day. Sorta.
He read those baby books the doctors recommended, watched educational videos, and he even endured a full detailed retelling of the twins’ birth from both Anakin's and Kenobi’s perspectives. But, despite all the knowledge and advice given to him, he still isn't ready for Leia to give birth. For more reasons than just one.
Which means when Leia announces that her water breaks in the middle of the drive-through line at McDonald’s after ordering their food, Han promptly loses his fucking mind.
Or: Han doesn't know if he's ready to be a father. Until he is.
