khaenri'ah had an archon, once upon a time. but they plotted to destroy them, and in retaliation celestia cast the nation into the abyss.
many assumed the eighth archon was dead, killed in the great cataclysm. but a legend remained, of the lost archon, who might have escaped their would-be murderers and hidden in a human form in teyvat, away from prying eyes.
now, with the fatui on the hunt for gnoses, it's only a matter of time before the supposedly lost archon is found again.

Working at the Northland Bank had its pros and cons. Pros being you got to see Childe engage in his bloodthirsty fights, cons being Childe got to see you at your worst. You were certain he didn't even know you by name, and for good reason! Why would you want to talk to him and make a complete embarrassment out of yourself? You were no more than fangirl, honestly. However, the dynamic all too unfortunately changes when you quite literally fall for him and split your head open on the Northland Bank's countertop.

Mona frowns. "If you die, how will I get free peach tea?"

Kaeya could hardly be considered a God with his gnosis stolen from a dying archon, but others don't see it that way. Namely his friends that don't wanna run the risk of the fatui showing up and beating him into the ground. Kaeya doesn't mind too much, but he will probably die without his gnosis, and that's just a little inconvenient.
