Summary

How people grow up can greatly impact how they lead their lives and what is shared about their lives can be the deciding factor on who their friends are and who are their enemies.
Shinobu Kocho has been plotting her revenge on the upper two demon for years. She wants him dead and nothing could change how she feels about him. However, one day, much to her dismay, a human child, the spitting image of what she's been told her enemy looks like, gets thrown into her arms to be taken care of.
Will she take advantage of his weak state to kill him, or will morals persuade her otherwise and allow her to learn how her enemy's fate could have been avoided?

It was unusual that their school got new students that didn't come with the usual changing of years. Most students went to the prerequisite schools that allowed you into this high school. It wasn't hard to get into, it had low standards. Occasionally people would change high schools where they finished their first year at one school and started their 2nd here at this school. Even rarer were the kids who transferred in the middle of the school year. So of course, when, at the end of May, it was announced class 2-B was going to get a new transfer student, people were a little surprised, and talked.
People noticed right away this new kid was different, and quickly found out why he had been tossed aside for so long. They joined the crowd that surrounded the boy and tossed him aside too. This was a fact the boy accepted. People didn't like him, and in return, he didn't like them.
Who would have guessed, though, that having someone care for you would feel so nice?

Ever since they were born, they had been told stories about how the world worked.
Stories that told of a lovely princess destined to be taken by the frightful monster – a villain that had roamed the land for hundreds of years. She would be held captive in the deepest of the woods, being abused and tortured by the hideous monster. However, when the princess thinks all is lost, a brave knight comes to her aid and slays the monster, saving her from its terror and bringing her home where the two would live happily ever after as husband and wife.
For one, this story was no story, but a certain destiny that could not be changed. For another this story would be plastered on their tombstone. For the last, this story was theirs and everyone else’s dream.
Unfortunately things don't go as planned with a cowardly knight, a kind monster, and a deceitful prince.
