One, there's going to be an exchange student into the Hero Course, which is very weird considering that U.A. doesn't accept exchange students of any kind; and two, this person is from Amestris: the isolated, militarized country where 99% of the population is quirkless.

Summary
After the events in Central, everyone needs time to recover. They've lost more than they bargained for, but they're determined to keep moving forward. What Ling doesn't expect as he travels back to Xing is that he'd be haunted in more ways than one by his counterpart—the other half of his soul. He begins to be driven mad by the voices in his head, and when the reason behind it becomes clear, it's like his world is finally right again.
But there will always be a malefactor who covets what others have, and when Ed catches wind of Greed's return, he finds himself wrapped up in a whole new enigma at the hands of some poor soul seeking knowledge. As Ling takes his place as emperor of Xing, Ed hopes to keep Ling out of the scene so he can focus on his duties, but what he doesn't know is that Hell itself is coming for him, and she wants Greed's philosopher's stone.

Summary
Ed didn’t expect to keep his alchemy, neither loosing his right arm all over again or staying with the military for as long as he has. He also didn’t expect for the country’s border to open. Well, kinda. With Grumman as the new President Furher and newly promoted General Roy Mustang at his side, they ended the skirmishes between Aurego, Creta, and Drachma. They also returned Ishbalans Holy Land of Ishbal. Of course, there was still complications here there, but that was to be expected.
Ed, now Major General, was headed for central after a summons from Mustang. And according to the papers he received from Hawkeye, a foreign country called Japan has requested a meeting between a Delegate and their Minister to form an alliance of sort. But Ed has one main question to this mission.
