Eddie Munson was practically raised by the concept of harsh realities, and he’s learned not to want things that he’ll never have, which isn’t as much as a bummer as it could be, because making the most out of what you’ve got is just as good.
Steve Harrington, despite his reputation as a casual flirt and a serial dater, has a bad habit of falling hard and fast and never really recovering. Steve Harrington, despite his reputation as a bit oblivious, and a ladies man, figured some stuff out about himself four years ago and promptly squashed all those feelings into a box he never intended to see the light of day.
In which Will coming out forces Steve to be open about some things (because Steve’s issues will always take a backseat to making sure the kids feel safe). And Steve doesn’t mean for Eddie to find out, but he does, and it turns into a bonding experience. (And it’s the best and the worst, because having him as a friend is more than Steve ever could’ve hoped for, but it also feels a little like dying.)

“It’S a mAtTer oF PriNCiPle!” Steve mocked, also holding up a finger, which Eddie quickly grabbed and pinned to the floor as he straddled Steve and held him down.
“Don’t mock me, bitch,” Eddie spat, Steve knew he was joking but he was quickly going to get hard if Eddie didn’t get off now.
“Or what?” Steve teased with a smirk, continuing their little game. Eddie only held him down further, digging his fingers into Steve’s wrists and forcing Steve’s jeans to rub painfully against his dick.
“You like this, don’t you?” Eddie asked darkly, far too serious.

Eddie Munson never saw much use in Valentine's Day.
He spent his young life ignoring and avoiding the holiday, and he was perfectly happy to continue doing so...until hopelessly romantic Steve Harrington came into the picture.
Steve's eyes were dark as they devoured Eddie from his damp curls, down his bare, scarred torso, to the towel Eddie currently had clutched tightly in one hand and slung low around his hips, down to his toes and back up. It was a slow slide of a gaze that had Eddie feeling hot inside. Steve was blushing hard and Eddie was sure his own face was just as red.
"Should I get the polaroid, sweetheart?" Eddie asked, faking every ounce of the teasing confidence injected into his tone. "You can take a picture."
Robin's gleeful cackle followed Eddie down the hallway as he went to change in the bedroom, leaving Steve stammering in the living room. Eddie's heart was racing.
Late that night, nearly midnight, while they lay together in their shared bed, Steve kissed Eddie for the first time.

Summary
The Corroded Coffin members made a name for themselves investigating the paranormal, they have a fairly successful show that brings in some extra cash. Eddie's not sure if he really believes any of it, it's been eight years and he's only managed to record a few pieces of evidence he can't explain.
He's not expecting much from the investigation of the Harrington house, even laughing at how serious the man sounds about their safety. Steve Harrington himself and his stupid beautiful face is a big draw, he's not going to lie, but the stories he's telling about the haunting he's experiencing sound far-fetched even for them; particles of darkness, doors that lead nowhere, voices from rooms that are empty and visions of other places filled with black vines.
He'd assume the whole thing to be a hoax, if Harrington wasn't offering them a sizable amount of money to spend the night, and there's more on the table if they can rid him of his haunting for good.

He thinks this is dangerous, its like they’re married, the casual sharing of intimacy, this space between them which feels like something and nothing all at the same time. He thinks it’s dangerous for him to pretend Steve sees it the same way, that one day Steve’s droopy, kind eyes are going to see right through him and he’ll lose this. This being a side of Steve’s bed that is his, a nightstand where his rings always pile, a drawer of shirts in Steve’s bedroom that only Eddie uses.
