Summary
Lunette Martin’s life is ruled by lists and lists filled with goals, plans, and priorities. With her number one priority being to hide her mutation, for fear of being arrested by the MRD. Her primary goal is to save as much money as possible before turning eighteen, when she can finally leave, and hopefully with a one way ticket to Genosha. Her secondary goal is to maintain a high GPA, so that she doesn't lose her scholarship; on top of managing her two jobs.
So yeah, life is a lot, hence the lists and lists. Lunette just wants to keep her head down, and avoid attention. Which is getting really hard to do with the X-Men, Brotherhood , and her bio Dad refusing to take no for an answer.

Summary
Look, Frances was just trying to survive. To keep her head down, and away from trouble. She had enough on her plate between balancing school, and her three part time jobs. She only had seven years to save up enough money before her eighteenth birthday. The day in which her Grandmother would permanently kick her out. Everything was going great, or as great as things could be with her situation. Until she bumped into someone like her. A boy not much older than her; who was going through the situation she would one day be in. A boy with the same tired eyes; eyes only seen in kids who were forced to grow up too fast. A kindred soul, who had also been failed by the adults and the system meant to protect them. She was meant to be invisible, to keep her head down, and to not form any connections with anyone. But, as she looked into his sunset eyes, sickly pale skin, and the rags masquerading as clothes, she realized she never had a choice.
TLDR: Before the river incident with Dazai, Atsushi runs into a fellow orphan, who, like him, is just trying to survive; and they end up adopting each other. Finding the family they had always dreamed of with each other. -

With his eyes still shut, Erik suddenly sensed the hinge of his bedroom door opening followed by the vibration of lazy footsteps against the metal floor. There was no need to check who the intruder was. Erik could recognise the hum of iron bracelets as easily as the call of his own crimson helmet, and any sense of danger was swiftly extinguished under overwhelming fondness.
A rustle of the blanket was the only signal Erik needed to turn onto his back with his arm outstretched, an open invitation that his guest didn’t hesitate to accept as they curled up beside the man and used his arm as an improvised pillow. Erik was tempted to make a sarcastic comment about ‘getting comfortable’, but far too tired for such banter, he simply leant his head against the silver crest of hair now tucked against his shoulder. There would be time for such menial chatter later. For now, it was time to rest.
After all, there weren’t many chances that the father and son got to spend together in peace.
