“Aren’t you supposed to be a demon?” Jayce looks the decidedly humanoid figure up and down. The demon (if that is indeed what he is) arrows his eyes. The strange, seductive glamour around him wavers.
“I am a demon. A tentacle demon, if we are going to be technical about it.”
“It’s just… You don’t look like a tentacle demon.”
“Oh, I am sorry, let me just—” The self-proclaimed tentacle demon rolls his eyes. In the next moment, his form seems to unfurl, and he unleashes his— well, his tentacles. His sclera darken to a deep, inky black, and his shadow fills the room. If the demon’s expression weren’t so deadpan, Jayce might have pissed himself in fear. As it is, the demon’s tentacles wiggle limply in a poor approximation of jazz hands, as if to say ‘ta-da!’
Slow, horrible realization creeps over Jayce. He just microaggressed a demon. He's a monster. Worse, he’s… rude.

You tried to live as quiet a life as possible. You kept your head down, didn't draw attention, didn't act out. Anxiety had plagued you since you were a child, rendering you mute any time you had to leave the house. It made life hard, though not nearly as much as your ability to feel the emotions of other people. It would have been a fine ability, useful even, if it had an off button. Plagued by the emotions of others, buried beneath your own emotions, unable to find a solution to either problem, you did the best you could, which often was simply just existing.
Until your best friend begs you to go with her to Fangtasia, and into your life walked the one man who could silence all of your demons. After all, the scariest demon ruled them all, and the vampire Eric Northman was the scariest man you'd ever met.

The Cat King grins widely, his hand sliding from Monty’s chin up into his hair, threading through the long black locks.
He looks the boy up and down, his smile almost manic as he steps even closer.“You’ve got yourself a deal, little bird.”
He whispers, his other hand coming up to join the first, both now buried in perfectly soft and silky waves.
“Although I think I have one problem with this arrangement.”
Monty takes a shuddering breath, almost a gasp as the man before him seemed to get even closer. He seems to instinctively lean into the hand in his hair, searching for his touch before he realises himself and jerks back.
Of course, Monty has only been human for two weeks. He doesn’t know what touch is like, what adoration or romance or affection feels like. He doesn’t know what it’s like to be kissed, to be touched, to explore someone else and get intimate.
He is completely inexperienced in everything.
