Shōta turns away, having had enough of this character assassination from a rising pop star.
“Hey! I love abrasiveness!” Yamada shouts after him.
Shōta pauses and turns around. Yamada grins and shoots him a finger gun. Shōta readjusts his bag on his shoulder and says, “Loud, showy, kitschy, irritating.”
Yamada’s smile doesn’t falter.- - -
After the death of his best friend, Shōta struggles to find a reason to keep going, both in his artistic practice and in his life. On a whim, he takes a job as a concert photographer for Present Mic, and several months of sharing a tour bus with Yamada Hizashi might be the thing to help him recover.

“Y-!” The admission stops Hizashi’s brain from working, apparently, because he starts trying to speak with his beer still pouring into his mouth. Instead, it spills onto his shirt.
Shota’s eyes seem to focus on the incoordination. He doesn’t seem pleased - like he usually would be at such a comical mistake - but instead just drinks in the blond’s reaction. Hizashi would find the sorely lacking ridicule unnerving if he weren’t busy trying to figure out if this is Shota’s attempt at a joke.
Because it has to be, right?
