“Do you know those dimples make me wanna fall down on my knees,” Louis blurted out in his drunken state of mind, thinking nothing more of it until he saw Harry’s surprised look on his face.
“You wanna do what now?” Harry asked, eyes wide and eyebrows raised.
“Oh, fuck, shit, no,” Louis exclaimed. “I meant that they make my knees weak, not that I want to… or like.. shit, fuck, this is awkward.” He looked at Harry who had an amused smile on his face, and now both dimples were out. “Like now,” Louis said, leaning in to poke one of the pretty dimples. “You’re gorgeous,” Louis said, looking deeply into Harry’s eyes.
Or the one where Louis and Harry meet at parties, Harry has been brutally dumped, and Louis just wants to make Harry’s curls happy again.

Summary
“Louis, don't marry him.” he gasped loudly as the alpha cornered him at the engagement party. Louis watched behind Harry to make sure that no one was paying attention to them. “Please don't.” he begged, Louis' blood was boiling, he roughly pulled away from the curly’s firm grip. He couldn't believe his audacity.
“What's wrong with you? You just asked Naomi for her hand, you asshole!” He yelled through clenched teeth, still looking behind his back. Harry shook his head for a few seconds, holding his hair that was ruined in a flash. “I can't believe it. You’re-”
“I know you don't love him. I saw it in your eyes, Lou. Please.” The brunette omega fell silent, opening his mouth in astonishment, the ring he'd received from Rowan identical to Naomi's weighed heavier against the accusation that fell from the alpha on him. Harry took a step closer, they were practically already close from a start, right now, their chests were brushing. He watched his pleading gaze, his large, warm hands clinging to his arms, Louis felt his mark burning.
“Harry-”
“If you ask me, I won't get married. If you ask me, I’ll give up on all of this.” His heart along with his knees went weak.

Summary
“Um, sorry, but I believe that’s actually mine,” Harry said a bit awkwardly, pointing at the cup.
The man huffed, slightly narrowing his blue eyes, “Nope, large Americano, dash of cream.” He held the coffee up closer to Harry and honestly, Harry knew exactly what was in the cup because it was his coffee.
“Right,” Harry slowly drawled out as if he was talking to a toddler, “Which would make that mine.”
“Look, I really don’t have time for this, I’m running late. And this,” he said before he took a sip from the cup, “Is mine.”
Harry’s jaw dropped and he held his hands out, failing them slightly, “Wha-you can’t just drink it!”
“Well I did, so, do you still want it or can I be on my way?” The man challenged.
Harry shook his head disbelievingly, “Take it, but for the record, it says Harry on it.”
The man turned the cup around and a sharp laugh came out of his mouth, “Well, shit.” He looked at Harry, a smile stretched across his face as crinkles formed next to his eyes. “Thanks, Harry.”

“Look, I’ll propose. I’ll do all the talking,” Harry says. “You’ll just have to look pretty and say yes at one point. That’s all. If that works, we get dinner for free, if it doesn’t work, we go for dinner on me.”
“Where do you get a ring?”
“You’re thinking about it, aren’t you?” Harry smirks.
Fake proposing to your best friend to get free food at restaurants seems like a perfect game. What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
The air between them crackles with tension, thick and heavy, and Harry can feel his nose tickle. Harry clenches his jaw, trying to suppress the shiver that runs through him, but the proximity, the warmth of Louis’ body so close, makes it impossible.
“Stop it,” Harry finally mutters, but his voice sounds weak to his own ears, lacking any sort of determination.
Louis’ lips curl into a knowing smirk, his thumb still tracing maddening circles over Harry’s pulse. “Why?” he whispers, his voice teasing but laced with something darker. “You seem to like it.”
Harry’s cheeks burn, a flush rising to his skin as he glares at Louis, his pride the only thing keeping him from completely unravelling. “I don’t.”
The smirk on Louis’ face deepens as he steps closer, his breath warm against Harry’s ear. “Liar,” he whispers, smirking, the word sending a shiver down Harry’s spine.

Summary
It’s the first time the word has left his mouth in a decade. Before that, the context was in reference to fictional characters in shows or films he used to watch. To Edward Cullen and Lestat. It was his mum who used to love that genre most and Harry who would dutifully watch with her. Now, he probably couldn’t bear any of it. Just like he can’t bear to see his mother.
Once such a simple, fantastical word.
Now it encapsulates the tragedy and the ruin that is his life.
“I’m a vampire,” he says again. Because if he has to say it, he might as well do so loud and clear.†
harry is still coming to terms with his affliction, which means it isn't the best time to go falling in love. and when louis joins the New York-based company where harry works, love isn't what harry's after. a harmless flirt in the lunchroom, maybe. a few conversations on the train ride home. but not love...or so harry tells himself.

Summary
Louis Tomlinson has a begrudging gift, he’s able to communicate with the spirits of the dead. Often against his will, and almost always at the most inconvenient of times.
He and his partner, Zayn Malik, work for a covert division of the New Haven Federal Bureau of Investigations. They aid in all kinds of cases, though their talents lie in the obscure and unsolvable.
It’s when a strange new case falls onto their desks that they’re left questioning the extent of their abilities, and whether they were ever truly alone.
Harry Styles was brought into the FBI for not only his skills, but his ability to mitigate the influx of spirits surrounding the elusive and obnoxiously infuriating sharp-tongued medium he’d been assigned to. Louis gets under his skin, he’s impulsive and a risk to the team according to Harry.
They do however have to find a way to set aside their sordid history, and their reluctant attraction, to track down the murderer plaguing their coastal city.
